face editing

could someone please make a tutorial for face editing. It seems very hard.
I think the faces are really 3D so just fitting a real face from a photo in and smudging edges won't work. Still Tom and Hariz were able to make a superb face for pieterson. that was certainly not easy, cause the new face looks completely different!
Please help me! I really want to do face editing. :hpraise
