i liked the dennis lillee episode with dickie bird when he batted with an aluminium bat and dickie bird sussed him out and threw it off the pitch with an almighty swing.

Your memorys gone a bit there.... Dickie Bird was not umpiring in that match, and it was lillee who threw it off the field..... It is a memorable moment though!

my Favorite cricket moments would be when India won Natwest Series Final...
and winning the world cup in 1983....
and when we thrashed pak in world cup 2003....
and for test match when Ind won against Aus after follow on....
and kumble taking his 10th wicket....
and kanitkar's 4 to saqulin to win us Independance cup
and many more....

I dont remember which match it was but rajesh chauhan smashed a six by playing almost sweep shot to akram and kumble was very impressed on the other end so between the overs kumble went upto him and chauhan gave him an on fiel tutorial on how to play that shot and on the very next ball kumble played the exact same shot for a six....it was so hilarious when I saw it live....

1) Brett Lee did it against India(again!!!!) in 2003-04 VB series...SCG or Adelaide I suppose...

2) Rajesh Chahuan hit a last ball four/six against Pakistan in an ODI either in 1997 or 1998...

Check out the above list. Only twice (Miandad and Klusener) has there been a last ball six to achieve victory. There have been other instances of last ball fours to get to the target too, but not six.

Brett Lee didnt do it on the last ball, I think it was the second-last.

As you can see in the above list, India has NEVER won a match reaching the target batting second on the last ball. Not against Pakistan, not against anybody else either. So I dont know which match you are referring to(Chauhan), it may have been the last over, but not the last ball.

In the above list, WI has the most number of times they have reached the target on the last ball.
West Indies 5
Pakistan 4
South Africa 4
England 3
Australia 3
NZ and Zimbabwe have done it once each.

By the way, before someone else points it out, technically, all teams batting second who win, have done it off the last ball. If you think about it, when they win, its always the last ball of that innings isnt it?? They dont go on playing after the result lol.

I think I remember once seeing a clip of the incident when Raman Lamba got hit on the head fielding at silly mid-on and eventually died. That was a sad clip. Unforgettable, but very sad.
