He probably (hopefully) meant current gen versions will be better than the current gen versions of FIFA 08. I don't think he meant the current gen versions will be better than the next gen versions (I hope).

its silly.. our PC's have more powerful hardware then the PS3 and Xbox360 masterblaster.. i still struggle to see why not, apart from the coding scene. it's only a matter of time.

Its simply because EA are money hungry. The reason why they make the game so crap for the PC is that so more people's computers can handle the game. This meaning more sales! If they made the game simply for top notch computers like you guys have, well their not going to sell many copies are they?

If that's really the case with EA then that's a lame excuse they are giving. Games don't have to be made only top notch or only crap. There are definitely buttons for cranking up or down the game's settings isn't it?

Take a look at a game like F.E.A.R. It runs on a crap Intel GMA 950 with the lowest settings giving 25 fps, and when cranking up the setttings it can look as beautiful as any PS3 or xBox 360's games, and can bring some old cards to their crawl! Its just a matter of optimisation really.

And as for next gen, I don't see why only graphics are counted. The AI is much much better in next gen, and honestly AI has nothing to do with the graphics cards. I've monitored FIFA's activity (08) and it just takes 23% of the CPU, and that too only 1 core!

Most modern machines atleast have a dual core, heck even if a single core is fully optimised then the AI can be brilliant! Any PC even 3 years old have Dual cores, and even before that people have High clock speeds Pentium 4's or AMD Athlons! All those physics calculations, etc. can all be done. We have more than the required horse power and what we get is poor optimisation!

Most of the PC : console gamer ratios are calculated on the basis of the sales made. That shouldn't be the case because a lot of PC gamer's copies are pirated.

Once Fifa 09 comes out thats going to be the only game im going to be playing on my PS3.
