FIFA Manager 06 editor problems

I'm having trouble editing my FIFA Manager 06 game this is what happens i edit a few players so i can put me and my friends in the game so i save it and play the game with the team i put me and the guys in and we arent there so if anyone knows what my problem is and how to fix it please tell me
