Firefox 4.0 Beta 1 Released

After putting the menubar back and getting the tabs back in their rightful spot, it seems pretty good. Missing some of my incompatible addons, but that's not the fault of Firefox (though a force button for them would be nice, most work fine).

I'll be trying this as I love Firefox, rest of the browsers sucks pretty much except IE.

I noticed the missing menu bar means you can't use the minimize/maximize/close buttons.

Yea, they're still there. I just use alt-f3 and alt-f4 though

No idea what Alt+F3 does. With Windows 7, all my window movement needs have been met, though.

On the "3 series" meaning Firefox 3.x? That sounds more like an OS issue than anything.

Yea I was googling and they mentioned that problem. I'm using Windows 7, I have noticed Firefox is pretty unresponsive for me so maybe I have a bad install.

Secret userscript I have that restores down and maximises the window

But yes the hotkeys in Windows 7 are so handy

ie is crappier than crap it is too bad

it does not even score 100 in acid 3 test means it is not compliant to todays web standards


also firefox is slow on ubuntu,chromium beats it by a mile also many good extensions for chrome are also available and it sandboxes so i can safely open 10-12 tabs and if one crashes i dont lose all of them
