Firefox is still running but has stopped responding.

I've been getting this message for ages and it's bloody annoying!

Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? Every time I get it, I have to find the Firefox process in the Task Manager and shut it down!

It could be a memory leak caused by some add-on. Try disabling the addons.
I remember having this problem, it was caused by facebook.

Ah. I don't really want to disable Facebook - nephew uses that.

If you bothered to read his post, you would note that he already knows how to do that. He wants to prevent the problem from re-occurring.

Try uninstalling and again installing it It used to happen to me I installed it in my other drive and it stopped

Switched to Win 7 RC now and reinstalled Firefox as well. One or both of those actions has stopped it happening.
