Fixtures in a competition

Can we design the schedule for a competition as we like? Or is it just always done randomly? I'd like to emulate IPL'18 with the right fixtures..Would that be possible?

There is a built in "India domestic competition" or something that is supposed to be IPL, just download the correct teams to overwrite the default domestic indian teams and start competition.

Yeah but when I do that,the matchups are randomly decided..I want the first match to be between CSK and MI but it randomly decides on RCB vs MI for the first match..That's what I am asking..Is there a way to change the matchups?

You can make it so the first round is the same but after that you can't.
