FOOTBALL Football Manager Discussion

Macheda? He did the job for me in Fifa when I was Blackpool :p. Yeah I'd love to do one over Christmas on FM 2011. Would enjoy a bang at the premier league without being one of the 'Top 8' (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Man City & Aston Villa) or at least not one of the Top 4.

'Owen's pace and skill was a constant threat' 3 words I would never have associated with Owen.

Yeah that would be pretty decent. The Spanish one was pretty good fun.

Baggsy Blackpool for it. Win the league with them to be honest.

Macheda didn't want to come. Got a deal sorted for Eddie Johnson but there's problems with a work permit. I have no idea why, he's playing for Fulham currently, surely he has a work permit already. Possible bug if they reject my appeal...

I'd be interested in having a go at an online game again. I'd probably go with Birmingham (Zigic :D)

I'm gonna be sad to part from my Liverpool save, by far my most successful, but FM 11 sounds gun. Gonna dl the demo now.

He might not have played enough games at Fulham. The work permit system lacks information, to actually state what percentage of games the player has played or needs to, is quite basic. At least, I've never found it!

Liking some parts of the new interface in '11, press conferences being 1 click are good, though I still loathe the process of it.

Yeah it's something to do with him not meeting the work permit criteria but until his current contract runs out he does not have to apply for another.

He probably would have been an England regular were it not for his injuries and struggles for fitness.

That might be true but in my opinion, McEachran and Dunn are different from one another. Also, it's pretty hard to see David Dunn in action with all the injuries he's got.

In my opinion, Dunn could have easily been one of England's best midfielders if he had stayed fit and got a move to one of the "big 4" as the previously mentioned players did.

Regardless of how he could have developed you'd hardly go around saying that its your desire to become David Dunn.

To be fair, if I had more potential I could have played in the premiership.

Still waiting for FM11 to come out but in the meanwhile, I've gone back to my Man Utd save.

I had the worst run of matches. Man City, then Liverpool and finally Chelsea. It didn't look good when I was held to a 0-0 draw with Birmingham the match before. I pulled off a good win over the City boys with a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Edin Dzeko and Andrey Arshavin. My next game against Liverpool wasn't the best but great defence and some outstanding goalkeeping, Akinfeev a rating of 8.7 and all of my defenders 7.2, 7.3, 7.5 and 7.7 before I decided to bring Rooney on in the 84th minute with the score 0-0. He managed to get free of his marker in the 85th minute and scored a winner to give me a 1-0 win.

In the match against Chelsea, Dzeko set up Arshavin early who scored to give us a 1-0 lead. A great save from Akinfeev, saving Donovan's penalty proved vital in the end. Arshavin got on the scoresheet yet again on the 30 minute mark before Ribery pulled Chelsea back one in the 57th minute but I was able to hold out for a 2-1 win.

Currently first after 26 matches, 7 points clear of Chelsea now followed by Arsenal, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Tottenham and Man City.
