Oh yea, thought I'd ask. What's this prize money that hear so much about? Do you only get it for coming 1st in your league or something?

Look in the rules.

Prize money comes for all places in all divisions. Although it's very disappointing that if you come first in Div 5, 6 or 7, you get the same amount of money as if you come 6th in Div 3. The only bonus from being in that higher division is higher sponsorship.

And I have just realised, I have no capable bowlers in my youth team. I have 3 reliable bowlers and 3 reasonable bowlers.

████. I have 7 19 year old's in my team. I need to recruit new players for next season. Here's an absolute stunning player I'm going to try and buy at all costs. Maybe not over $150,000 though.

Player Info
17 years old | 25,398 rating | $934 wage

Left hand batsman | Right arm Fast medium

Talents Seam Specialist
Nationality South Africa
Form capable
Fatigue rested
Experience poor
Captaincy average

Skills
Batting poor Endurance average
Bowling reasonable Technique reasonable
Keeping poor Power ordinary
Fielding dreadful

So really its best to stay second in one of the lower divisions.

I'm starting to buy older players because it gets increasingly hard to find good players who are 20 and 21. But I keep getting outbid :(

If I get that player and train him well, by the time he turns 19, he will hopefully be about:

Batting poor Endurance reasonable
Bowling reliable Technique reliable
Keeping poor Power average
Fielding poor/ordinary

If he's like that when he turns 19, by the end of his last season in youth, he should be accomplished/accomplished and then I can train him up well and he'll be the next Graham Phillips who is likely to retire in about 3 seasons as he is currently 30 and only playing OD cricket.

Chewie, keep going until you find it tough to finish in the top 5 for a division provided it's better than Div 5 then just relegate into the lower division and keep finishing second until you are good enough for the next division and then go back up.

Also, I finally got a full crowd of 10,000 yesterday for my OD match.

I get crowds of 4.4k or so to home games. I suppose it would be higher if I was in a higher division because most of the teams I'm facing don't have a supporter's club with many members and they wouldn't turn up.

Would all my 20 and 21 year olds improve by a decent amount over the next few seasons do you think?

Not sure really. Since I'm training everybody, I don't pay much attention to one player and how much they improve and since I swap the training around to strength or fielding, it's hard to tell. I'd say about 2 primary pops between 20 and 23 if training on primary technique. I can't be sure though.

Bloody hell. I just realised that that player's bidding finishes at 2.30 am on Tuesday morning. Unless I make an extremely high bid, I won't get him and even if I do, there's always one stupid person who makes a bid.

I have this player:

Got him in youth pull a few weeks back. I reckon he could be pretty awesome. So I really want to train him well. Do you reckon I should work on power now until its up with bowling and technique, or work on the bowling and technique first?

Bowling and technique now. Power trains better when older while bowling and technique train better when younger. Train mix of bowling and bowling technique until about 19 then maybe train power a bit. Fielding already is good enough and power isn't that bad already.

I bought two keepers in last week. From the Pavilion - Free Online Cricket Management Game From the Pavilion - Free Online Cricket Management Game

Played Jock Bradshaw in previous match and he scored 81*(50b) and played part in 4 dismissals(2 catches,2 stumpings)...
Aurthur Weir is poor keeper but ordinary fielding. He got Safe hands Skill. Whereas, Jock Bradshaw is a poor fielder but average keeper. He has Gifted keeping skills. So i guess they are pretty much even at that. On batting, Aurthur seems to be a better choice.. So who should i use for keeping? I would play both as both of them are better than the youth batsman playing at number 7

hahaha if he did then most of my team would be keepers :p

I have won 5 out of 7 of my league matches. Though I have lost all the 3 friendlies, (it was impossible to defeat Bcvs and AP with my current team). I am playing Akshay this Thursday, I'll go with my best of the bests lineup.

you have 2 overseas players in your senior squad, I'm yet to get one though I'm happy with an all Indian squad. See you on 21.:D

Next is BCVS, it's going to be my second loss.:p
