FTP: From the Pavilion general chat

Curtin is a great player :p

They tied it on the second last ball, then hit the last one for six

My team lost their 2nd match really badly. I need to buy few good players and start winning matches on consistent basis.

Agrid South Africa won by 7 wickets

Hedger's Team 112/10
Agrid South Africa 113/3

Wasn't expecting that.

J. Adcock 4/22
S. Pender 3/11
J. Steele 3/33

Another fantastic bowling display from a lesser rated seam attack... interesting

Finally got a decent keeper for a cheap price.. 30k rating, reasonable batsman, gifted keeper,21year old. That would be the sad end of Hanumant Sameer's short career at my club. He might get a few games against weak opponents.

Iridium XI won by 427 runs

Big win but considering my match rating was more than twice that of my opponent, it's expected I suppose. Batted first and got off to a rollicking start, the opening pair putting on 134 in 13.2 overs before Lindsay was dismissed. Goodwin went berserk and went on to post an even 200 off 129 balls with 13x4s and 8x6s. He was out with the score at 347 from 37.2 over. A big score was looming. 94 from Khan and a frenetic 17-ball 44 from van Dalen took the final score to 488/7.

Had very little resistance in defense of my score. Sidney Kettles taking care of the top order with 3/14 before Kenobi came in and wrapped things up with 4 for 2 and cleaning the opposition out for 61.

My match rating is now higher than yours again Iridium :p

But that was a huge score. Beats my 480 I scored against Rahul

I won against the second placed team in my OD league by quite a bit margin all things considered.

Now I make a loss every week though :( That should be made up by the prizemoney I get at the end of the season, but if any of the new guys want some pretty good players, I'll be releasing some soon :) Have a look through my senior squad for anyone you might fancy.

Damn. 3 early wickets but couldn't take anymore.

Today's match going well.

Bowled first. Watkin struck first over. Phillips struck his first ball and it was 7/2 after 2 overs. Phillips bowled a second wicket maiden in a row to have 2/0 after 2, them being 7/3 after 4. They fought back to 117/3 before Kwistel finally struck with the wicket of Corningstone for 71. Phillips finished strongly to take figures of 4/31 from 10 overs, before 3 wickets in 3 balls, one a run out while LeBron James took the other 2 and then a wicket in James' next over to bowl them out for 186, James 3/18 off 7.2, Watkin 1/28 (8) and Kwistel 1/46 (10). And I'm doing it easily at 90/0, Taafe 47* and Elgin 31* on an uneven pitch. This win against last place will put me 4 points ahead of 7th who I'm currently ahead of NRR on since they are getting dominated by first place.

hedger_14 added 9 Minutes and 39 Seconds later...

Taafe out for 50 but still heading for victory. 102/1 after 23 overs. Elgin 33*, Byrne 6*.

Is a RR of 7+ on a dry pitch good?

Depends upon the quality of the opposition.

My OD match is in progress
End of over 25 (3 runs) - New York Yankees(191-2) RR 7.64
S. Powers 68 (61b) , W. Bevan 62 (57b) , K. Chella 3-0-18-0

I'm in love with Screech Powers. He defies all the logic and scores almost in every match and take bunch of wickets too.. :p

How the fearsome tweak does he do it. A dreadful batsman scores huge amounts of runs every game. Elgin out for 39, 113/2, Byrne 9*.

I'll buy Curtin :laugh

How the fling does he do it. A dreadful batsman scores huge amounts of runs every game.

The bowling he faces must be absolutely useless. I'm going to put a bowler of mine in the top order and see how he goes.
