Iridium XI won by 9 wickets

Bowled first on pitch which would be great for the spinners. But it was the seamers who made the early inroads, With Pfaff and Smith reducing Viper's to 12/4. Faced a little bit of resistance from the middle order before my spinners came in and dislodged them, Marsh the standout with 3/22 from 8 and Pfaff, my youth pull fast bowler, taking 3/26. Dismissed Viper's for 134.

A 129-run opening partnership between Powell and Bergin took us to an easy win. A 10 wicket win was within reach until Powell got out.

Powell has been my standout batsmen thus far. After 7 matches, he's scored 559 runs @ 79.86 with a SR of 110.69. So far he's scored 100, 95, 106, 39, 60, 77 and 82. Pfaff as well has been great. Thrust him straight into the team after I pulled him and has taken the most wickets for my team, 11 wickets @ 17.45 and a SR of 18.9.

Still stuck in a 3-way tie on points in my league, but 3rd due to NRR. Have a match against table toppers RAJNIKANTH. Should be an even match, his match rating only very slightly less than mine. Last time we played, I won by 1 run, despite my rating being lower than his. Man I hope I win. I want the top spot....

I got hammered in my youth match, despite the ratings not being too dissimilar.

3 good points came out of it though:
My netherlands bowler took 2 wickets though was very expensive. He now averages 20 and has a economy rate of 10 in both T20 and YOD.

My Netherlands finisher scored a quickfire 54 at the end of the innings. He's not that great overall though.

My Netherlands star scored an unbeaten century batting at 5. He has still not been out in any format, despite playing 3 YOD innings for 269 runs (2 centuries, 1 fifty) and one senior T20 match. He's definitely a future star for my team.

Maybe you should transfer your team to the Netherlands for next season.... :laugh

In my youth match today, I batted first. Mol unfortunately got out for 18 off 23 being the first wicket to fall with Murch on 19*. Murch got out soon after for 21 and it was 47/2. Young was dropped on 17 before going on to make 62 before being unfortunately run out. After 33 overs, it was 183/3 and I wasn't batting that great. Mohammad completely ripped apart the opposition bowling attack in the next 7 overs though going from 55* off 75 to score 106* off 99 by the end of the innings, 51* off 24 in that period. Khan's cameo of 43* off 21 guided me to a score of 273/3, a lot better score.

Baldry struck in the first over and again in his 4th to have 2/14 from 4 overs, as they were 21/2 off 7. Reshma finished off his opening spell to have 0/8 off 4 and I was already looking like winning. Murubi took a wicket his first over before they started to rebuild. Whiteman was the third bowler to take a wicket in his first over to have the opposition 4 down. Habeebulaah is yet to take a wicket with 0/23 from 7. The RRR has now risen to over 10 an over with still another 18 overs remaining.

Yeah. He's still in the youth team though. Now sitting in third in Youth with 2nd, 3rd and 4th on 24 points each. train in second place have a NRR of +1.9187, I have a NRR of +1.5686 and 4th place has a NRR of +0.9804. Mohammad's century also brings up his 400th run for the season. Michael Young has currently scored 330. Kasee Baldry now has 12 wickets @ 22.08 as well.
