OK. Placed a bid on Ariyaratna Palliyage as well. :)

Just be careful about the player talents while bidding. Sometimes the players might look good, but their talents are waste for eg. a highly skilled batsman with a talent of a opening bowler.

I always see talents as an added bonus rather than a prerequisite for a player.

I agree. What I meant was that it is rather foolish to have a full-time batsman with a low bowling stat with his talent being opening bowler.

Doesn't really detract from the player though. I'd still buy them even if their talent was stupid. I probably have a lot of players who have really silly talents but I still play them and they still do well.

I agree, that doesn't detract me too, I'd still buy a batsmen with a talent of opening bowlers it he is even accomplished in batting and technique.

William Wallace

What training should I give to him considering his endurance is just dropping like hell day by day.

So, that means... if we don't train a player in a specific format regularly, it will slowly decrease away?

nah.
Endurance is the ability to bat/bowl longer without being tired.
His endurance is just decreasing because he is 32+.

And you should train a player regularly.

Samuel King

Just look at the wages of this player, he surely lives a life of glam.:p
and I was bidding endlessly for him and finally stopped after seeing his wages.:D

Won my OD match against the the second best team in my league by 5 wickets. They scored 236 runs, with 4 wickets to Kallichuran and 3 to Hele. Chasing, we got there in 32.4 overs with Duranjaya scoring an unbeaten 97 off 81. Got a decent lead on everyone else now.

Iridium XI won by 387 runs

All too easy. Was sent in to bat and scored 431/4 thanks largely to 192 from Lindsay off 137 balls. Bowlers came in and ripped Lions batting to shreds, reducing them to 13/7 before finally dismissing them for 44. van Dalen and Kettles were the best, both picking up 4 wickets each.

Tied on points in my league but got a big NRR which puts me at No. 1. Barring a shock loss, I've pretty much got this OD league won.

Not the best bowling performance but at least something salvaged.

A hattrick for James!
40.6 W James to Biermans : A lofted drive goes straight into the hands of mid-off. Fiebig takes the catch comfortably and that's the end for Biermans. He is quite unhappy with himself.
J. Biermans c J. Fiebig b. L. James 21 (27b 2x4 0x6) SR:77.78
40.5 W James to Hanna : Short of a good length delivery on the stumps, Hanna makes room and takes a swing. The ball clips the top edge and balloons up towards mid-on.
R. Hanna c T. Taaffe b. L. James 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
40.4 W James to Bolton : [catch] It would have been a wide if Bolton had not found a way to nick that. Now he is out. What a pity.
R. Bolton c J. Pettinger b. L. James 122 (104b 11x4 0x6) SR:117.31

They made 290 all out. James 4/53, Kwistel 3/45, Phillips 1/52, Fiebig 1/67 and Tindall 1/68, in his return match.

Currently 52/3 from 13.4 overs, so I need to pick up the run rate. Elgin 18, Taafe 4 and Byrne 3. O'Leary 20*, Ali 3*.

I had that as well in my game:

2.5 W van Dalen to Benedict : Short ball, and hooked straight down the throat of the man in the deep! Out!
S. Benedict c O. Kenobi b. N. van Dalen 1 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR:25.00
2.6 W van Dalen to de Mel : [catch] Nicked and gone! A simple catch for Poole, de Mel does not look too happy about that shot.
T. de Mel c G. Poole b. N. van Dalen 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
4.1 W van Dalen to Isham : van Dalen released that delivery from well behind the bowling crease. Isham played his shot too early and middle peg is knocked back as a result. Unorthodox but effective.
A. Isham b. N. van Dalen 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

A hattrick for van Dalen!

Mind you this came against a pretty poor team.

Well mine was against the team ranked 515th in the world and the wickets were one of the openers and the #5 and #6 batsman. What annoys me badly is their 2 openers scored 122 and 68 but the rest of the team couldn't score more than 30, only 2 others scoring in the 20's and only one between 10 and 20.

End of over 23 (13 runs) - Abhishek's XI(164-1) RR 7.13
D. Sanigepalli 89 (72b) , G. Sunondo 67 (55b) , D. Naagesh 2-0-22-0

Going good, finally! :D
