FTP: From the Pavilion general chat

When I joined, I was given a computer controlled team and that team was so flinging bad that it is hurting me so much now.

Didn't affect me as such in my OD league. Made up for lost time with gigantic wins and managed to make it to top spot. T20 I'll have to sit through another season of Division 6 thanks to Chewie hogging 1st place. Youth all depends on how my remaining matches go.

With only 6 rounds left, I need to be a bit lucky too.
Well i've won everything till now from the time I joined, so that's good and the gigantic wins improved my NRR.

Just unfortunate that I got put in the same league as you. :laugh

Lucky indeed. In total I've lost 3 league games - 2 in T20 and 1 in youth.

Till now, William Wallace and Arnold Ridings are going solid for me, Ksama VijayShree(my best batsmen along with Ridings) departed, that's sad.

Can anybody tell me what is a good score on a crumbling pitch? I'm having a little knowledge about the pitches.

I'd blame your batsmen. 275 was never going to enough on a Flat pitch in Sunny weather. You needed atleast 300.

True true. I'll just go ahead and blame everyone on my team. Openers had the idea, going at around 9.00 RPO before it all went south. I've really got issues with my batting.

Result doesn't mater for me in today's match. Its all just preparation for the big event :p You should win it comfortably as a lot of seniors have been rested i.e Bryce Lydamore,Lesroy Christopher,Screech Powers,M Ismail,Amit Mishra.

43.3 W Reid to Ridings : [catch] "Caaaatch!" is the cry... and it's caught! Kuiper ran a mile to get that one after Ridings sent it skyward but it's just desserts after a shot like that.
A. Ridings c L. Kuiper b. A. Reid 161 (135b 14x4 1x6) SR:119.26

oh no!!! He should have made a 200 there.:(

Going to put him on strength training to get his power up a bit. Other than that I'm pretty happy with him.

Varun wanted this player and I said I'd stop bidding on him to give him a shot. But it close to closing and he didn't bid so I snaffled him.

I saw you were bidding on him. I would've tried for him as well if you hadn't already got a bid in. How much did you get him for in the end?

$28,600. I'm aiming to buy 20 and 21 year old's. This guy'll be 22 next season but still good. I just saw the absolutely mint player you bought for $50k. What a deal.

I did that initially but now I'm getting whoever I can find. So long as they're younger than like 25.

Next match I'm going to try get my highest match rating by playing the players with the highest individual ratings. Just for fun.

That could be a main reason why I've still got so much money left over. Being too fussy. Your idea could be the way to go

Maybe you should try get your lowest match rating when I play you next in our T20 league. You know, just for fun. :laugh

I've got to find more spinners. I've stocked up my seam reserves pretty well but only have one front-line spinner who's also my captain and one youth spinner who tends to get smacked around in senior matches.

There are normally a few decent spinners on the transfer market, I don't normally look at them because I have two pretty good ones at the moment anyway.

Apparently if you pull general rather than a specific type of player you can get better youths so I'm going to do that next week.
