YES!!!

Well batted by everyone, only 2 out of my 22 innings were single figures.
Extremely accurate bowling in the first innings, with no bowlers going at more than three an over, bar Ryder.
In the 2nd innings, Dan just ripped through them, taking 3 for 15.

SAME TEAM and POOR pitch, as that is the only pitch that a result will occur on.

T20s!

I am pleased to inform you that we will now have T20 matches as well using Sohum’s Simulator. It’s a tricky simulator that has its glitches but I thought since T20s don’t matter too much, and the fact that we are not going to use the T20 games in deciding vCash prizes, I reckon we should do it. It would also test the simulator out and will have its own excitement. However, I may warn you that unlikely results do pop out and strange things do happen on it. So beware!


ICC Test Championship

I have also planned to do an ICC Test Championship at the end of the season. I am yet to finalize its format so I thought it would be best to have your opinions as well. I don’t want the tournament to be long and hence ATM I am planning it to be a knock out tournament that only sees the Top 6 Nations. The top 2 Nations get a buy in on the semi final spots, where as we see the 3rd Vs 6th and 4th Vs 5th Quarter Finals. All games will be on a 6 Day Format to insure that we do get results. I was initially planning to have only the Top 2 teams but it will not be fair on the rest of the teams. With the Top 6 it would only ensure that the best teams make it through and that we have some quality cricket. Also I wanted to ask, are one-of matches good enough for the semi-finals and quarter finals or do you want like a three test match series or something? What about the Final as well?


ICC ODI Cup

Similarly to the Test Championship I was wondering that we needed to do an ODI trophy at the end of the season. Currently I am not too sure of this format as well and am confused whether we need to have an 8 Nation Champions Trophy (like my previous league) or a Simple Knock out cup. Again your thoughts would be more than helpful.

Depending on the success of Sohum's simulator I will decide in having a T20 Tournament at the end of the season

Please do give me your opinion so I can finalize this idea. Also as mentioned in post one there are vCash prize money for the two mentioned events so think wisely! Thanks!

That T20 sim is rather pointless ATM, as you can't select the bowlers...

@ Test's - I would have 8 teams, knockout, five/six days, one match series' as you can still win with one bad day, for the final maybe make that a three match series.

@ ODI's - Have two teams knocked out every round, so as follows:

First round, - 1 v 4, 2 v 3 and 5 v 8, 6 v 7
Second Round - winners of 1 v 4, 2 v 3 get byes.
losers of 1 v 4, 2 v 3 verse winners of 5 v 8, 6 v 7.
Third round - winners of 1 v 4, 2 v 3 verse second round winners
Forth Round - Winners of those two meet in a three match finals series.
Home games always go to the higher seeded team at the beginning of the tournament.

Hmm, regarding the T20s, I will just do it. I am looking to do it as the league will then have all formats of the game. No worry for the teams though, it isnt gonna win you any cash, but just some sort of entertainment.

I like the ODI concept this way teams are given much emphasis on their rankings and it does seem pretty even. I will follow what you said, great Idea Callum!
It may be a bit complicating though, I was prefering a straight KO cup, but matches of one/three series. Thoughts?

Regarding the Tests I am willing to give the top 2 nations a buy into the semifinals, the rest 6 teams would play like this.

Round 1: 8th Vs 5th and 7th Vs 6th
Round 2: Winner of the two teams Vs 3rd and 4th
Round 3: Round 2 Winners verses the Top 2
Round 4: Finals (A three match series) or a Super Test

This is what I have in mind for the Test format. I am not too sure about the ODIs but I will make the decision later today or maybe tom. If you have some thoughts on the format do comment
