TENNIS Full Ace Tennis

Interesting to see how it compares to AO Tennis. Certainly appears from the trailer to lack the bells and whistles, and the ball seems to travel at the speed of sounds from a very slow swing animation. But still, it looks half decent for $25.

I definitely think it’s worth it. I’ve been on the beta and thoroughly enjoy it. It may look a little rough around the edges, but I tend to get a nice match of tennis with plenty of variables (surface, physics)
There’s a backlog of potential upgrades too , which will only make the game better in the future.

Are the animations mod-able on this game? I think it was possible to do that in Tennis Elbow where the community made some amazing animation mods!

From what I have read on the forum, they are not moddable as of yet. But that is something to be factored into a future update down the line.

Really like the gameplay and hope the game's released on consoles as well. The one thing I would tweak is the player speed. To me the players were just a bit too fast in covering the court and I would turn down the speed by 10% or thereabouts. Also, can you change the gameplay camera? I prefer the slightly higher camera angle similar to the one they are using for replays (9:08 of the video clip) or which was used in Top Spin 4.

There are several settings that control the camera. I haven't played with them.

That's down to the player attributes I think - if you lower the speed/acceleration attributes then you can make players very sluggish if you want.

The database can be edited by importing .csv files into the editor, making it possible to perform global edits in Excel (or similar) to player attributes, such as reducing them by 10-20%. Still lots of work to do with the modding but there is great potential, I put a few screenshots up on Steam;

I'm looking forward to a review of the game written in English. One of the statements in this review translates to "A simulation with little onions!". I know the stereotypical Frenchman is supposed to be dressed in a striped shirt with a beret, riding a bike strung with onions, but the statement is completely lost on me.

The saying with little onions can mean in this context: even the smallest detail is in there: a game without any arcade nuances whatsoever! With careful attention to detail!

I interpreted the "onion" reference as simulation being deep and having various layers (depth) a la onion.

The final word on little onions from the FA developer:

"It is a French saying that relates to a plate brilliantly cooked, so it means that much care was provided so that people would appreciate the result."
Ha straight from the horses mouth as it were...(it was probably a horsemeat dish!). Keen to give this game a go looks quite promising.

Unfortunately, there won't be a demo, at least for now. The developer wanted to release one, but the publisher vetoed it.
