Only 9 country play cricket, full time, but in a confusing concept. It's tough for fans to keep track of when to watch and what, which is where itsonlycricket.com comes to your rescue.

Australia also tour England for a series of one day internationals while England play host to Pakistan vs Australia test series after a long gap. Its shocking to see even bangladesh is playing 13 test this year and india after SA test series cancelled playing only 4

May-June South Africa in West Indies 4 Test + 5 ODI SA in WI 2010

Hope to be in the Windies in person for this one :happy

Also shame the most anticipated Test series of 2010 has been cancelled :noway

wow Sri Lanka only play 3 tests for the entire 2010. WI play 11 so Im happy about that, all against quality teams. It will be interesting to see how WI do in Sri Lanka, wonder if Murali will be there.

Sri Lanka 3 Tests/Bangladesh 10 tests= Sri Lankan cricket you fail.

Sri Lanka only wants to play ODIs against India :laugh they just fell from 2nd to 5th in the Test rankings, what better way to imrove that then by playing 3 Tests all year :rtfl

Hmarka added 1 Minutes and 41 Seconds later...

October Bangladesh in Pakistan 2 Test + 3 ODI Bdesh in Pak 2010
November South Africa in Pakistan 3 Test + 5 ODI SA in Pak 2010

any idea if these series are being relocated? Pakistan play a lot of Test cricket this year, if they do well would be interesting to see them take on South Africa, especially if it is relocated to SA

Thank God we are getting some test matches to play in 2010,it will really improve the game of our players to play against,Australia in Australia and against England in England along with South Africa to play in Pakistan which really looks possible if matches will be held in Karachi,Multan and Hyderabad.
More match practise needed to these Paki players on Test level to reshape themselves in the test.
Openers must be selected from the young bloods of Manzoor,Latif,Jameshed all these have some thing to present in front of international crowd.
Imran Farhat,Hafeez,Yasir etc must not be allowed in the team fro mere one or two performances. Moreover inclusion of young blood may reshape their fielding which is at the moment below par.
Younis Khan must be the captain,he should have a sportsman spirit to cop up with all difficulties.

I doubt South Africa will tour Pakistan, the security situation has not notabely improved, some might argue its worse.

I do not think any team will tour Pakistan except the Lankans. Conditions of Pakistan is still messy and will be more in the upcoming days due to its government.

both of you are totally right its almost impossible to play international cricket here but still if board can able to do some home work, then South Africa might come as situation there in Karachi,Multan and Hyderabad are pretty good the rest of the country.

Theres nothing more I would love than to see Pakistan host matchs but reality check mate, last time cricketers were there they we shot at with automatic rifles, RPGs and grenades.

Do you really think anyone (let alone the Saffers) would be willing to be the 1st to go back. I personally would not go.

what had happened is past, anyone from all these team must present themselves as the first blood to reinvent International cricket their in Pakistan.
Moreover government must provide a high command security to the visiting team.

That sounds very noble, but cricket is just a game and I dont think anyone is going to risk their lives to make a political statement or play a silly game

True mate.. But to tell you it will be india who will Reinvent International Cricket in Pakistan do not worry mate.. That is what is called Freindship

Security in Pakistan is absolute a joke. Thanks to that driver who drove the bus and save the whole lankan players. If any huge damages would have taken palce, Lanka would have straight attacked Pakistan for sure. This is where the LTTE is different from the millitants. They do not harm any other people specially players. I still remember few years back BCCI were on the way to cancell the tour on Sri lanaka due to the LTTE attacks and all. even Srilankan govt were unable to provide Z securies but it was LTTE who stated that no harm or no attacks will take place while the tour is on. BCCI send his team to Lanka and they gave green signal.

To reinvent international cricket in Pakistan pretty soon, two things should happen

1. The terrorist related activities in Pakistan must stop. The deaths should stop (due to terrorism). Right now looks its getting quiet but something or the other suddenly props up.

2. Some team has to take the risk and go to Pakistan to play a series with full assurance by the government of Pakistan that nothing would happen to the players. Also maybe the touring country can bring their own security as backup if something happens.

But this is all highly unlikely in the recent future. I dont think international cricket is going to return to Pakistan for atleast the next 5 years.

Risk :p after what happen with Lanka, i think players will rather retire and end their carreer, than been to Pakistan again.
