in my mock When I didn't know the question and sat there gormlessly for 5 mins my teacher asked me if i knew it, i said no, well i thought i did but i said nicht which actually means not so every question he would ask do you know and i would say not instead of no :(

Oh well I'm prepared now.

That's a good thing :)

Yeah, we use sam learning at our school, its good for some subjects but bitesize is better for things like English.

I had my French oral mock last week, was nervous and had one of them awkward moments where I couldn't understand what the teacher had said and so couldn't really say anything myself. Still, my teacher said I had a good French accent so I suppose thats a positive. I'm afraid its going to be the worst exam of the lot for me, really nervewracking. Like Joe said though, its good to get preparation.

Did a PE mock in class on wednesday and got my result back today. Got 65 out of 80, which is 1 mark off an A! Really pleased, especially as our teacher said it was a hard paper with some dodgy questions in there (Was the one last years GCSE was on). A bit more revision and hopefully I'll nail an A in the real thing :)

French accent? I've seen you on the eiffel tower but I can't imagineyour sort of semi manc french accent :p

I'm doing an Irish accent for a bet, Oberteil vom Morgen zu Ihnen is top of the morning to you according to the translator i used :D

When ze seagulls follow ze trawler, zit is because they think sardines will be thrown into ze sea:p. Think of me saying that but in a Manc accent:p.

With our GCSEs coming up in the next 6 weeks (?) its time to start buckling down and studying for the exams.

Who's taking them this year?
What are you looking forward to?
Which exam are you hoping never comes around?

GCSEs :crying

Good luck to all taking their GCSEs this year! :)

sam learning is honestly absolutely rubbish! and the worst thing is teachers can check if you've been on sam learning to revise . i go on bitesize, it's the best out of all and that spherox game is totally random

Not strictly GCSE related, but had a gem from Maths class today. Bear in mind that this is the top set, we've all already sat our GCSE Maths a year early and are doing Additional Mathematics.

This guy asks (completely seriously) "Miss, am I right in thinking that a square has equal sides?" While trying to keep a straight face, she replied "Yes. Equal sides and equal angles." The next response beggared belief: "So are they all 90 degrees, or can they be more or less?" By now the entire class was laughing including the teacher. :D :p

SAM Learning is very useful.

I used it and I passed my GCSE's with 3 b's 5 c's and 2 d's.

Got me into college, onto the course I wanted.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE TAKING GCSE EXAMS THIS YEAR...

What course was that?

Celebration day today. Just had a huge assembly where all our tutors made powerpoints and stuff, then had a barbecue. Glad it was nice and decent weather. Not our last day because we don't get study leave :( But oh well, still everyone's getting drunk tonight so should be good :p

Got my results for some of my mocks.

A for English.
A for Science, but they had brought the grade boundaries down.
C for Business, but they are going to bring the grade boundaries down, so it's basically an A.

They bring the grade boundaries down, if there is a general pattern of how the students have found it, and most people in my year who did the higher papers for Sceience and Business, struggled, badly.
