General Discussion

That's great! Do you go to the academy now or become a junior officer? Don't really know how it works. :)

I've still gotta do my fitness/beep test then send all my paper work away and have all my background checks. Then I might have to do a skills day before my panel interview. Then after all that I get a grading and will have to wait until they include me in an intake based on my overall score during the whole application process. Then there's 3 months in the academy. LONG PROCESS, I've already been going for a few months already.

Wow, that is a long process. I suppose it has to be that way. Hope It all goes well, and you enjoy it in the end. :)

What is the minimum score for the beep test? I know you have to get 24 go get in to the army. I have done it a few times and never got over 13. It kills you after a while.

But Good Luck with all of the process.

sachin won't be 4eva he is far past his peak and he is now harming his side's chances of ever becoming semi-decent again.

You do realize he was given that title (I guess by mods) because every single post of his is anti-Sachin, right?

Never saw the guy before the superb thread the other day, so I'm taking it at face value.

I was so perplexed by this. I always thought he was trying to be sarcastic or something. Great job mods:thumbs.

24 lol? 7.4 for a C, 8.8 for a B, 9.4 for an A.

The beep test doesn't go up to level 24, I just googled it and it goes up to level 21. According to Wiki to get into the British Army you need to get 10.2, and the Australian army 7.5.

I was going to say, I remember doing it back at school and basically anywhere in the high teens was basically professional sportsman standard.

I think there's different ways of measuring it based on levels or actual runs cos I remember people at school getting over 100.
