General Racing Games

i've been playing with the keyboard, and i'm getting slightly faster, but i struggle with the cornering.

I've been driving Singapore, and I've been finding that when i go into a corner, i can't have any throttle, or the car slides like a touring car. Really bad understeer.

However, i did the track in 1:45.6 earlier.

Tom, if you enjoy racing games and can afford it, buy a wheel. I've got a DFGT it's about ?60, G25s are better (pedals mainly, everything else is of a muchness) and is about ?120 iirc.

Urgh! ?60 thats a lot of money for me. All I would want is pedals and a paddle shift. Surely there must be cheaper ones then that?

Really random, but I have actually stopped playing rFactor cause it reminds me of my ex, lol. We had one night where we both got very drunk and I tried to teach her the game and everytime I start playing it, I have an urge to break something

Tom, never get caught up in ex's, it just isn't worth your time. I know that's easier said than done.

The Logic3 wheels are about ?30-40.

what mod are you using mate, i'm using F1rl, but that looks much better.

Also, i have trouble running the game if i want to race.

I can easily do testing sessions, but when it comes to racing, the game just stutters.

Try turning down some of the settings, also worth checking your graphics drivers are up to date.

my graphics card is an ATI Radeon X300 i think, that's what came up when i installed the game.

here are my laptop specs, they are quite low i think.

Intel Pentium M Processor
1.73GHz
278MHz
1GB of Ram.

You could try turning off replays in the replay fridge too, that might help.
