Former England batsman and assistant and coach Graham Thorpe made his international debut in 1993 and scored a century on his first Ashes appearance, becoming the first England player to do so in 20 years.

Genuinely devastated. Him and Robin Smith were my two absolute heroes. Best batsman we had in very dark times.

What a sad news. I had just picked him in my Fantasy Draft for England team because how underrated of a player he was. Some days later and he's gone. RIP

Oh my. Graham was such an elegant and in my view sometimes underrated batsman. He added real quality to the England set-up as well. So young. I knew he had been ill for quite some time but still a shock. All the best to his loved ones.

Rest in peace! He was such a classy player and was a wonderful sight to watch! Thorpe always brings a lot of nostalgia to those who followed international cricket from the 90's.
