well yesterday me and my friend played a test match in BLIC07. I selected India and he selected Australia.
After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, india tumbled to 19/4 in 3rd over.Thanks to the hat-trick of brett lee.Incomes Master Blaster and to give him company there was yuvraj singh.
Sachin scored 50 of 15 balls.Yuvi took just 10 balls for his. there on it was an onslaught on australian bowling.Yuvi got out on 199 unfortunately.and tendulkar got out on 182. After the dust setteled. Score was. India 445 Allout in 21.2 overs.
Indian bowlers came out and bowl with fire as australia bundled out for 29 in 7.1 overs.Only Matthew hayden reached double digits(11).
India Enforced follow on.
Aussie reply begin with a aggresive opening stand.Hayden 86(42) and Langer 77(56). Then in came michael clarke and Ricky ponting. I dont know from wher my friend found his form. Ponting scored 259 and clarke remainde 163 notout. score was Aus 646 allout 42.5 overs. I got the target of 230 runs.again india stumble to 26/3 and then 49/7.Unbelievable bowling by brett lee and macgrath. Then my custom player and tendulkar steadied the ship before tendulkar got one bad decision(ball going over the stumps,still given lbw). I cant belive sachin was out for 32.Leaving indiafor 96/8. My custom player tried his best and after 12 overs india were 220/9. Sreesanth was one strike.
1st ball-> outside off stump.played and missed.
2-> bouncer on the helmet
3-->quick single down the leg side.
two balls remaining and india need 9 runs.
4-->full toss outside off stump. driven through covers for four by Gaurav.
5-->godd length just outside off stump. Lofted over point for 4.
6-->Cleverly bowled slower good length ball. Lofted shot caught at mid on.
I was exhausted. Remarkably the most unexpected comeback i have ever faced. My first defeat in Brian Lara cricket 2007 in last 1 and half years. My friend was overjoyed and had let everyone in our friend circle of his great comeback. i allways hate to loose but when it is as they say.every dog has its day.
