Patel XI Gujarati Americanos - that would have been an apt name, if they wanted to stick with something authentic Gujarati. Another name could have been Ahimsavadi Amdabadis, but then they realised they chose Hardik as captain and that Krunal couldn't be kept away from the team. Would go against the ethosnof the team (Ahimsavadi - non violent)

I believe they mentioned Gujarat as they want to garner the support of the entire state as opposed to just Ahmedabad. In all honesty, this wouldn't have been a problem as I do not see thw BCCI coming up with another franchise in Rajkot.

Jokes apart though, I'd have named it either Ahmedabad Avengers or Gujarat Gir Prowlers!
