'Hard Mode' batting tips.....

I just started playing the game in Hard mode. I am unbeatable by the PC with the other two modes, and in those modes I did most of scoring playing cover drives and leg glances, but in hard mode it doesn't seem to do much no matter how good my timing is. And yes, I did practice a lot b4 I played.

An example, I've played 2 matches against NZ in hard mode, in the first I bowled them out for 84 (a very damp pitch) but had a helluva time chasing it (i finished it 85/8). I attributed this to the damp pitch at first, but in the next game, one that was played on a real hard pitch, NZ scored 221 against me, and I still cant score off those drives and leg glances even if my life depended on it. I do great with big hits, and my timing is pretty good with drives as well, but they don't go far at all.

Is this a bug, or do I just plain suck?

Were you playing with an AI patch or the original AI.If you were playing with an AI patch,then it is understandable(as some are tough).But if you were playing with the original AI,you just plain suck,I'm afraid.

It's just practise. I think everyone probably had a rough time when they first started playing on hard,, just use the nets,, and just keep playing, start to figure out what shot to play on certain deliveries ect.

Are there any charts (similar to the one on how to pitch certain deliveries made by someone... i do not remember) which will tell which shot is best to play for certain deliveries and where the batsman has to stand while playing them??

Playing the cover shot is still possible as u need to know which will be the suitable ball. as far as the leg glance goes, come down the track and play it. u will achieve more success that way or use the slog sweep. Slog sweep is my favourite shot. works against even the fastest bowlers.

I had and sometimes still have the same problem. It's all timing and only lots of playing helps. I find most shots I play a bit to late. In medium mode that would still be OK, but in hard mode your timing has to be perfect. I also move the batsman around to experiment different shots. I played a full County season to get used to hard mode. I finished 5th on the log...

So...I also suck...!
