Your Cricket helmet problems

hi,
ive just purchased a new masuri batting helmet,
tbh its a beaut, i love it, its perfect...par one thing, my ears rub against the earguards. ive had to actualy slice chunks out of the earguards to fit my ears in. and my ears are still in contact.

the helmet isnt too small, my head is only 58cm in circumference.
i have a frew questions
is it normal?
is it safe?
are there any suggestions as to keeping my currecnt helmets comfort but not using the grill which is evidently too small?

I found it on my old cheap indian helmet to be quite a good feature as it kept my ears warm. If it really bothers you (the feel of the earguards) try some tape. It's perfectly safe and normal and it shouldn't make a difference. If you are still bothered by it, just take off the pads, they don't make a huge difference to the protection of your head.
