Help with Kit making

I've made a kit for the game, but I can't import it into Graphics Editor. Everytime I try to the editor either crashes and dissapears, or else gives me an error message that it needs to shut down. Any ideas why?

I'm using v2.2.
My kit is 8bit (256 colours), and I have each image from 512x512 down to 8x8.
I'm trying to 'import as bitmap'.
