Help with timing and confidence

OK, I can kick easy, and medium is OK but hard is very unusual.

I played in the nets and my timing seems right, however in a match what appears to be a well timed shot ends in nothing but a glorious miss.

How could things be so different. The other two levels are a far cry from Hard.

Any help????

Im using a PS2 so no patch can help.

Also, my confidence in the batting only increases with hitting a four or a six.

I had a batter on 77 still with zero confidence. It took 127 painful balls to get him their but is not unusual for a test match.

Any help would be much appreciated.

yeh its pretty much getting into position to judge what ball can be hit to the boundary. it took me quite a bit of time to get a player to hit a boundary, but once you can judge what balls to hit, then you have to time the shot right.

yeah and about the confidence meter thing does take long. did the batsmen get hit in the helmet/body? or i reckon because you miss the balls so much that the confidence goes down when that happens. its more like just judge what balls u can hit.

im still having problems scoring 4's square of the wicket but i can hit 4's anywhere else .
