Ross Taylor (NZ) OR Chris Gayle (WI), both had solid 1st games but of course Taylor was playing a 7 over one and Gayle was playing a 20 over one.

Yeh, I'm amazed that poor T20 players like Ponting, Clarke and Wright have got onto the poll ahead of players like Gibbs, De Villiers or Martin 'Guppers' Guptill........:D

I'm going with AB de Villiers.
Gayle has a reputation of just scoring in select matches.

I'll put my money on Chris Gayle. The way he's batting...!!! Even if you look back at the 07 T-20 Cup- he was the highest run scorer of West Indies- and the only man who could score a century in that tournament. An absolute gun player!

Wow! Wright the first boy!!!! Hmm..but don't worry, Gayle will catch him. ;) KP and AB- they both have a chance as well.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the name of one player- he's Sanath Jayasuriya. You can laugh at me, but that guy is some T-20 player, when he will fire, not even Lord Jesus will be able to stop him. True, he hasn't done anything- but still, the whole tournament is left- Sri Lanka is already in the Super Eights, and...who knows? Jayasuriya might slam a hundred in the very next match.

I've got a feeling Ryder will end up as the top scorer.

Wrighty has played 2 innings though tbh. 2 decent contributions in 2 games though, can't argue with that. Looks a much better player than he did in his last stint in the England side.

I voted for Ross Taylor in the poll. Just got a hunch that he could have a fantastic tournament.
