How are other games developed by BA?

I would have preferred they stick with DBC 14 and improved upon that but would they have got caught in the 'tweaking zone'

DBC14 introduced a revolution to cricket games and raised sky high expectations on 17, i agree. But Technology grew/grows too fast, may be DBC14 didn't have that scaling factor to live with this pace we are going towards.. that would be my best guess as such a massive growing companies like BA won't be making these kind of remodelling decisions just for fun or time pass. Embracing changes makes things easier than complaining about them. Even if BA starts from scratch to try for even more immersive things in next version, I personally embrace it to support them! This is far better than getting roster updates every year in the name of new version.

They would have every right to join the 'tweaking' band wagon but probably wouldn't get away with it like... Another bigger company. Shame I feel they have tried but failed a little with silly problems never mind.

@Dutch , What settings do you play in test matches that give the most authentic experience? any slider changes etc? I also think the game is great, my only gripe is AI batting in test matches - they tend to get bowled out too easily

Hi mate I play with default settings on hardest (A little extra pitch bounce so that the ball carries properly)
: I use Franco's tweak on PC. I don't have silly mid-on in! I have no hud elements...none! Much more enjoyable for me....AI tend to post around 200-250....although as my batting is crap its usually a good score! I am experimenting with having bowling on medium as I have heard AI are actually more resiliant!

BA has been very close to my heart in terms of gaming.

DBC 14 was the first game I bought on Steam, played over 350 hours. It brought my hopes really high about cricket games. Although, I haven’t played their other games, I might give RLL 4 a try. Also, I love DBC 17 on both my console and PC (Spend over 120 USD in total for both the versions). Stats is sometimes an issue, but I really enjoy it quite a lot.

Thanks @Dutch . Any results from testing on medium bowling? I played a T20 with medium bowling - I defended 150 too easily - bowled them out for 80. Perahaps more effective in test matches?

yeah i went off and realised that I had the game on PRO even though i had bowling on hardest en batting on medium...I cranked AI up to Legend and they did this to me....me bowling......!

Just as the topic suggests, curious to know how the other games like AFL, Rugby, Dirt Track and so on developed by Bigants studios are compared to DBC17?
Do they always/mostly released bugged, half baked games?

Is it possible for you to make a less biased poll. There exists the presumption that voters believed DBC17 to be a bad game.

As for other games, they tend to be fairly good, and for making games that are actually enjoyable to play, while supporting them long after release. One problem they do face is that games published by TruBlu tend to farm out certain series here and there, and they tend to cop flak for other developers. For example, AFL Live was good, AFL Live 2 (by Wicket Witch) and AFL Evolution (also Wicket Witch) were not.

Not really, its not biased against BA. If you see at the moment the poll results seem to be saying BA has developed some good games.

The bias is in the wording of it. All options suggest that DBC17 is a bad game. That is a bias.

i must say, I tend to get much closer games with 2 lower rated teams playing a match. When I play as south africa in a Test, the bowlers are too strong if I play Steyn, Philander, Morkel, Rabada. I lowered their skills now and will play a test and see
