I like his temperament. He seems to love being out in the middle. He's such a good timer. I honestly can't see him NOT being a world top player. He's so solid in defense and punishing on bad balls. He's also done well in tough conditions as well as flat decks. Seems to be very consistent.

He's awesome!

If he keeps his act together off the field he will definitely go places. Has a good technique and no fear of playing his shots.

If he lays off the sauce he could be a legend. A bit like a modern day WG Grace.

Wow this is pure class batting! :hpraise this guy will surely be on of the greatest batsmen in the world, consistent, confident with shots !

I like Ryder alot, but I don't think he'll be one of the greatest in the world. He'll be a competent Test player, probably average around 43-44 by the end of his career. I doubt he'll be better than KP or Duminy, going to be a big part of the Kiwi future though, they just need Ross Taylor to work out how to be consistent at Test level now, as I think he's got more talent than Ryder, just needs to get his mindset right, they'll be a good side in the future if they get Ryder, Taylor, Guptill, Flynn and McCullum all firing.

Pretty much word for word what I would've said, although after looking at some highlights he does need to control himself a bit on the field as well, he shouldn't have done what he did when he got out.

If Ryder boards a airplane, he can go as long as he wants :D :p :)

lol, on a serious note.. I can see a Mcmillan in Ryder. The aggression, brave attempt of some shots irrespective of the situation and turning the match scenario other way etc etc, McMillan and Ryder somewhat looks similar in strategies.

Its too early to make a call and conclude that " he is the best/start/blah blah" like how many people concludes recently on many young players.

Ryder didnt change the way he played from run number 1 to 201.

Since he has moved to no. 5 he has played 6 innings, 4 50s, 1 100, 1 200.

Thats mighty consistent.

Certainly looks like he could be a top ten world player if he sorts himself out off the field and continues with performances. Pretty good bowler aswell so he has lots in his favour.

Looks good, but at some point of time he will start faltering. He is going through a golden period now. But eventually he will start failing. He will end up a good player, but not great (unless he proves me wrong)

Looks promising for NZ, really found his form at #5. If Oram can ever get fit then NZ have a good middle order in the works. Its just the openers that will have to get sorted out.
