I don't think there is going to be a boxed version although deathrevenge9 claims to have some "special" information given to him about this matter. I'd assume in the UK it'd be between ?9.99 and ?17.99.

If you look at sports games, there are quite a few that are full price, but those are big publishers. Across all genres, big games are high priced on Steam because the publisher isn't using it as the main delivery method and the online purchases largely serve to subsidise the costs of advertising and packaging. It may seem frivolous, but it is this ability to support a title that attracts a developer into a deal with a big publisher. Even at a consistently exorbitant price, COD4 remains one of the top sellers on Steam, not because it's a good deal, but because of that strong brand power.

Indie games, on the other hand, are sometimes as low as $5. Independent developers know they can't charge the earth, but if they have no publishing overheads, they can make a higher percentage of profits from the retail price. Steam has fast become a haven for small developers because not only is it popular enough to make packaged copies unnecessary, but it can also quickly generate interest in a well made game.

As far as I can tell, Mindstorm Studios are very much indie, even if the game doesn't turn up in that category on Steam. If they do intend to sell packaged copies, they're not working towards mass production any time soon. I think I'd be a little disappointed if it sold for more than US$20, but I can't see it being any higher than US$30.

All things are sold in US dollars on Steam in Australia, so it depends on the exchange rate at the time. Some games have a different price however, with them being far more expensive in Australia than the US price despite still being in US dollars, but that only happens with a few games.
