I don't play backyard cricket exactly........... it's Lane cricket! Actually it can really develop ur technique in playing straight!
There are mainly on 2 shots......... Straight drive and Lofted Straight Drive :
But u can also really develop ur flick and paddle sweep playing in a narow lane like I do.
U can judge where the keeper is and how fine u can play the flick!
I play 2-3 hours (almost) eveyday
It's great fun!
No huge yards/grounds to play in teh city u know!
I used to play for my College 2nd XI team....ours is one of the best in Sri Lanka (S. Thomas' College Mt. Lavinia) But now I left school so only this and C2k2
well we play in a lane near my house where one kid lives (2 years younger than me) him myself and a couple otehr living down that lane play..... the main road is the boundary.
If we hit it to a neighbour's house where we can't get the ball again ur out if not, not out...........
Different rules in diff neighbourhoods........... we choose the batting order in the usual manner of drawing straws or whatever......whoever bats last bowls first and decending order!
when my bruthr and i play, we play in the backyard and it is kinda small wiff windows around everywhere. So we can hit as hard as we want on d fence and behind us, and when we hit towards the house it has to b soft or u get a warning. 2 warnings and then out!!! :o It is kind of boring and g@y playing like that but still better than nuffing!!
hey coachin camps r really cheap in india. But the accecceries are lil bit expensive. The coachin camp fee is RS.200 and the kit is RS.2000.But its really fun in the coachin camps once the coach see's somethin good in u u r promoted.I started my coachin 1 year back and now i am a under 17 district player.
