Hi Guys
My name is Zaki and I'm founder and CEO at Game Ventures, the developers behind HowZat and I thought I'd drop a line and let you guys know the update on our launch.
Case in point: It's about 4 am here in Singapore and we're just about winding up a 19 hour work day - just because we love building stuff you guys will hopefully love and getting it out on time. In turn we just want you guys to help spread the word and convert people who arent traditionally fans of cricket games onto this one.
What I want to communicate is this: You guys deserve to have expectations from us despite the fact that we're a free game. We want HowZat to be better than any paid game out there, period (when it comes to measuring fun, ease of access and addictiveness). I apologize for our urgency to launch and the heightened expectations we set. We try to put ourselves to test by setting insane deadlines and we really shouldn't be letting people outside the company access that information. RV has done a fantastic job of keeping you guys up to date and taking out time to do beta - this is squarely my fault.
I won't set another date, except say that we will have it out the door in 7 days or less. And you WILL be the first to hear about it. That's a promise.

Great news although I would be careful giving time limits to yourself like "7 days" because if you can't meet them for some reason the whinging will go into overdrive.
