I am leaving/back thread

Yeah, not been to a Wembley game yet anyway. Ideally I'd want to see a few different NFL teams and then pop along to a big college game. Unfortunately I can't really get into college football over here in the UK. There is almost no coverage of it.

Make a bigger deal about the 2nd coming you bunch of stunts.

Now you know how I feel about county cricket :(

ESPN covers it brilliantly and if you are resourceful you can find links. At least watch the BCS games.

Big East is such a ████ conference though. SEC, Pac10, Big10 and Big12 are the competitive ones.

Back from the South, some good skiing done, bit of shooting and experiencing my first earthquake. Then managed to get a direct flight to Auckland instead of the one via Christchurch for no extra cost so loved that.

You feel the quake? Or had you left by then?

^Really? Thats shocking.

Enough about your sex life.

As in: "Did the earth move for you too honey?!"

On a more serious note hope all our friends in NZ are okay. This is a big quake we are talking about in a very large town for Kiwi standards. Been in touch with a few friends and they say it was the worse quake they can remember and there is a lot of damage.

It was our most damaging quake since the 1931 Napier earthquake which was pretty bad. I don't think any of the NZers on the forum are from Christchurch (our second largest city) but it's caused around $2billion NZD damage

Yeah, not a lot of people outside of the country realize how vulnerable New Zealand is in terms of earthquakes and (underground) volcanic activity. There is a massive fault line that runs north to south over a lot of the country. When the really big earthquake hit in 1840 or so the land rose 14 meters in some places!
