I am leaving/back thread

It's cosy. Also, there's barely been a cricket game to get excited about since the heady and wondrous days of the promise of 2005 and what might come ;)

In fact, it's either amazing or depressing to think that in the same timespan that has seen a couple of members go from young and immature children all the way through puberty and off to university and into full-time jobs, and yet there still hasn't been more than a fairly rubbish cricket game released...

Que sera sera, what ever will be will be....

This place would be pretty dead without Mark.

Even if that is true. What about the small girl he has in his cupboard? She wouldn't be dead without Mark. Is it worth it? IS IT WORTH IT??? :noway

When I think about it I only joined this place because I was googling Brian Lara cricket 07. I was 12 turning 13 when I joined this site lol. Now I am 17 and still no decent cricket game has come out. I had a dream TAOC got released once...

I love how much people on planetcricket talks about its past. It is because it is so crap now. I remember when general chat was so active that I would create a thread, when I wake up the thread will be on the 2nd page. Same as If I created a thread in Cricket Discussion, it would take a couple of hours before it reaches the 2nd page.

Now if I create a thread in general chat and no one replies it takes about 2 months before its off the 1st page. This place would be pretty dead without Mark.
As the old duck says... people move on son!

Some don't. :p

Nah kidding, when I first joined it was awesome here, so active.. But it really died off hard after C07 lost most its buzz and Australia thrashed England in the Ashes 06/07.

Nowadays there are def more Asian members to Australians/British so its not as active in areas we normally discuss in, ja mean?

I only use 2 forums. Planetcricket and this place Misc. - Bodybuilding.com Forums
Check it out. It's funny as hell but it's pretty immature :p Nothing there is meant to be taken seriously though.

The rest of my time on the computer is youtube, and facebook.

I remember having massive flame wars(or whatever you call them) with the Indians here. It's not as good when you have to wait ages for a response :(

Indians are boring...to me at least lol not being racist...just usually have nothing in common with them.

Yup... I was easily one of the worst! The infamous beef between me and andrew_nixon will forever be remembered by both parties. I was pretty stupid and he really got to me for some reason. In the end I think we agreed to disagree.

Still think hes a nob. :p

Ahhh wow, had totally forgotten about that, ahhh the good old days :p Who created the picture of Andrew Nixon with the famous burger?

Andrew was great once you got to know him

Hmmmm...... :p He banned me from giving reps cause I neg repped him :p Then again you banned me Colin so you must be a bit of an idiot as well ;)

I don't think it's a coincidence that PlanetCricket was at its best when we had cricket games coming out regularly, between 2004 and 2006. As soon as one of the developers pulls their finger out and releases a new game we'll be getting a popular forum again.
