I Now Love This Game!! Mr Wellard &Co - Thank You!

I have the PS2 version which I bought from DVDcrave last week. My previous favourite cricket game (non-ICC) was Brian Lara/Shane Warne Cricket (which I adore).

I started the game straight into hard mode and my initial reactions were "this looks nice", "it's on a DVD, so it's quieter, faster", "there's loads of stats". Then I moved on to the gameplay which felt similar to Cricket 2002 (didn't like that game much) yet the timing was somehow different and after about an hours of play I hated the game. I was so devastated and underwhelmed - I was getting ready to sell it in eBay (I took the picture and all).

2 days later....I'm in love with this game. The nuances have gradually emerged and slowly but surely a brilliant cricket game was unearthed. I can appreciate better now the time and effort gone into making this game. What I learned in these few days was to practise, practise and practise on the timing of each shot and position of your batsman. The bowling is also very satisfying with edges to slips, through slips etc. (if only the "bowleds" were as satisfying as in Brian Lara Cricket). Bear in mind that I play EVERY minute of matches whether i bat or bowl - no autoplay at all.

Of course there are faults, what game doesn't have them? (especially under the scrutiny of a hardcore bunch of cricket fans!) but this has now finally replaced Brian Lara Cricket as my favourite cricket game.

Mr Wellard, thank you for this game - you and your team deserve a good break, so have a good Christmas day, but on the 26th Dec start working on a PS3 game :P

thats right mate.go :bow:ps3. think about all those suckers with a computer.hah suck.

In starting I couldn't even hit fours.always out. Now after playing a lot. We get the feel of timing and it is real perfect gameplay.

Yes game in last few days taking a grip on me.......timing is very important
