oh!India again have an easy group thats rubbish
:
ICC 2009 Results with qualifiers removed
1. Pakistan
2. Sri Lanka
3. South Africa
4. West Indies
5. New Zealand
6. England
7. India
8. Bangladesh
9. Australia
(10. Zimbabwe)
Group A: 1, 8, 9
Group B: 3, 7, Q1 (11)
Group C: 2, 5, 10
Group D: 4, 6, Q2 (12)
So they're using a similar system to 2009 where they're going down and up and down again, but this time instead of positioning them in order, they are doing each other seed on each movement. Seems a bit arbitrary, to be honest, but it looks like the match-ups are fair.
EDIT: According to the
ICC website, 5, 6, 7, 8 are in the order: England, India, NZ, Bangladesh which doesn't seem fair since New Zealand got a win in the Super 8's whereas India didn't.
