ICC future features

Choosing when players retire and being able to see the stats of retired players, (not sure if this has already been implemented in ICC10)

make yur own world cup squad like a reminder before the cup is starting like 1 year before, cricinfo style presentation like afridi allround skills seals a tense win
afridi gets 3 wkts with a firey 28 to knock sa out.
create yur own team like there are 200 countries and choose one name and create players and shoot or start with total pakistani team with created players etc.
choose an auto team with u set the combination like 7 batters 4 bowlers with 1 batting allrounder one bowling allrounder etc
one last thing simming a game like if u know u have win it u can sim entire game

1. Playable Association Teams: Zimbabwe, Ireland, Kenya etc ... and possibly in future get test status along the lines and then you play them in a full series.

2. 2nd XI Games. Either to see scorecards (as mentioned by a previous poster) or be able to play the games.

3. Able to scout talent from local leagues, during the season and being able to send some of the youngsters out to these clubs. E.g. Glamorgan can look at the South Wales Cricket League and Birmingham Premiership for Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

4. Kolpak Players. Say there are not getting selected to play for their country from certain countries then they can become kolpak players.

5. Historical Scenarios. Bring them back, they were really good and really enjoyable to play past series with past players.

6. Player Pics ... I know there are licensing issues, but maybe a place holder for them which the community could get involved and create face-packs like you do in Football Manager ... the same possibly for club badges.

ditch the 3d graphics and go back to the 2d ones

add more features instead of flashy graphics

Why would they go back to the 2d ones now? Its not like they are doing work on the 3d graphics that is taking time away from adding new features.

They were going to add the UDRS but it was buggy

Umpire Decision Review System I think

Umpire Decision Review System I think
Ahhh. Never heard of that one.

Adding to my prior post.
Disconnection online should be a forfeit.
Back in the day I never played ranking matches due to the amount of quitters.

Maybe it's better if you don't make comments that have no background other than what you "think".

The thing that was removed wasn't UDRS, it was a graphic detailing where the ball had pitched, hit the batsman and whether it was hitting the stumps or not.

UDRS - I don't think it's too far off being fully implemented in international cricket, I don't see us putting it in until it's used in all series, or more specifically all series of one format. Though it would be an awesome feature, very involving.

As said in the ICC 2010 thread, I'm quite excited about where we can go with the various suggestions being made. The list is massive

My problem with including possible UDRS (I think it was my cock up in naming the struck in line etc. indicators as UDRS-like in the very first place :p) is that, as of now, the game automtically shows Hawkeye for LBW decisions. If it were shown before we made the call for UDRS, it would make it too easy, and removing it would feel a step backward, and you'd have to look over any lbw decisions un referred at the end of the over.

Adding in a hawkeye timing delay would be one of the simpler parts of adding in UDRS, for example, say you had the appeal from the bowler, then you had 3 or 4 seconds after the appeal to click "Review" or hit a review button, etc. Then the hawkeye would show up.

It would take quite a lot of work and thinking to get it right though, it's a good idea though, I'll leave it at that, it would add a lot to the experience of being the captain, so it would require a lot of consideration either way. Last thing we want to do, with any feature, is bring something in that doesn't work at all. I think you can see that with Australia inclusion this year, it's an enjoyable mode, sure we can improve it and tweak it more, but that's the kind of thing you can only do with feedback from thousands of people playing the game anyway, not in the actual development time.

Though I will add to that again, personally, I don't think it should added to a specific format/all of them, until it is in use by them as a rule in the real world.

Would be cool Sureshot if you could put up your major ideas for the future in the first post.
