ICC News: Restructuring the ICC, BCCI Influence & more

Oh come on, just go and enjoy AB De Villiers show rather then fighting about India-Pakistan. We have enough politicians and media people to do that.

yeah because your media is much better than ours, right?
Coming to the Hafiz Saeed thing, he was placed under house arrest by the Pakistan government after the 2008 Mumbai attacks, but was freed by the Lahore High Court, which is not the government. Afterwards, the government appealed against the ruling, but was rejected.

Haha if you think the only evidence about Dawood being in Pakistan is that Arnab Goswami, called his wife, then you are naiver than I gave you credit for. There are years of intelligence collected about Dawood, thousands of phone taps, people questioned, interrogated, etc. that leads to the conclusion that Dawood is in Pakistan. If you rebuttal to that is a parody spoof video of Arnab Goswami, then that itself tells you how flimsy your ground is.

Also about Hafiz Saeed, I don't how great or authentic Pakistan Courts are, but House Arrest first of all no arrest. Secondly I don't care what Pakistan High Court says, Hafiz Saeed is still a UN designated Int'l terrorist and Pakistan High Court Ruling doesn't change that in any way. So stop hiding behind lame excuses, and face the facts. A UN designated terrorist lives and roams freely in Pakistan.[DOUBLEPOST=1445525780][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyway ,I am sure you will reply, but this discussion serves no purpose, and is in any case too political for this site. So gl with beating England.

When did i say he isn't? I just said that the Pakistan government hasn't got the power to go against the Lahore High Court ruling, so Hafiz Saeed cannot be arrested. But, as the people above said, i think it's better to enjoy AB de Villiers batting rather than talking about Dawood Ibrahim, Hafiz Saeed and that idiot Goswami on PlanetCricket.

Yeah that doesn't look like a very convenient arrangement at all.

Arnab Goswami (the whole world agrees by now), is an idiot. So yeah we agree about that.

Anyway, like I said, gl with beating England.

We need some moderation on this thread ASAP! PEOPLE ARE POSTING OUT OF CONTEXT HERE.

This thread is heading down a discussion of a political nature and away from sports.

I'm going to lock this thread for a few days, and when I re-open it we are going to talk about something else that isn't this

I will say that talking about this particular thing ends right now: and I'm not going to be at all happy if I see another thread full of boring politics rubbish that has nothing to do with anything.

I'm just going to reopen this thread now: I'm going to keep my eyes on it though

I wish if ICC to be structured would be done as performance based rather than money and media hype stuff, The way AB grilled indian bowling in the last ODI, SA surely deserves a top spot in ICC management.

Makes no sense!

So you basically still want uneven segregation of income and structure, but instead of being based on economics of the cricket boards, it should be based on the performance of the cricket team on the field ?

You make it sound like a classroom, where the best kid gets to be class monitor/president :P

While my friend Rehan might be a bit off with that comparison, I sort of see where he is going with his thoughts. From a cricket standpoints, its only for financial reasons why SA are touring India for such a long series - IND really aren't competitive enough even in home conditions to challenge them over such a long series.

If teams were not so "dependent" on touring/hosting IND for money, the current series would have been shorter.

I think India was competitive in every single game except the second T20 and last ODI. What has helped South Africa is that their players are now much more used to India conditions now. The likes of Faf du plesis, Duminy, De kock plays as one of the main players for their IPL teams. So they are more equipped to counter Indian conditions than the South African teams that have toured before. However, you still see most of their batsmen such as Faf Du Plesis, JP Duminy, Quinton de kock, Behradien all struggled against quality spin. They all struggled against Ashwin and against Harbhajan when he was bowling that amazing spell. AB and Amla are more natural against spinners but even they struggled against Ashwin.

Anyways, I would just hold onto my opinion of India not being competitive at home until the end of the test series. I feel you might see an upset if India do field their best 11 with everyone fit.

Well actually I agree with you except the fact that I believe SA will finally conquer India and win.

I guess how i used the word "competitive" in that context is wrong, because obviously IND do stand a better chance of doing better than SA at home on pitches that suit their spinner has we have indeed seen in current series.

Was more trying to say making the series longer isn't going to help IND chances of winning, it will assist SA because as you rightfully said many of their players accustomed to playing in IND already. The shorter the series, the less likely IND is of losing outright.

SA never toured IND for 4 tests since readmission, so the length of this tour is basically down to CSA getting best buck from IND broadcast rights revenue.

Thanks for understanding and backing the point behind a sarcastic comment. Even though You have pretty much nailed out everything in two lines I just wanna add that everyone knows its about money and income structure, I only wish if tables turned around and might is right rule gets a hold on. We talk about Global justice but in every department Might is Right prevails and merit derails. Am I being too Philosophical? So I should be pretty straight forward. Big 3 is certainly Big injustice towards World Cricket.
