Story ICC PlanetCricket Team [ICC2005]

Added you all, Zorax for Ferraby who is an RM, and Bilal for Gibson as I'm not doing international players as they'll be traded after every season.

Also, I've changed the selection process for the first games. I'll pick the first 11 people that sign up, or it could be the first 10 plus whoever replaces a keeper (Paul Nixon is a good one to replace, he'll get you a regular game).

FreddieFan, I will use SkySports if you want, won't make a great deal of difference but I'll do it anyway for you.

ahh all the good players are taken :( when this season ends will there be new players, so I can join?
You can ask to be traded at the end of the season and I'll get you a new player...if you want to play in the first game I strongly recommend taking New or Nixon, as the last spot will go to a keeper.

Fine, which one is going to be traded? lol :p because I am a all-rounder so, I would prefer to be traded at the end of the season and become a all-rounder..
thanks,

btw, name Z.Ahmed

I'll trade whichever, I'd rather play Nixon though so I'll chuck him in.

I'll post the lineup for the first match soon, and if anyone else is interested, remember that you can sign up as a player too, very interested in pure batsmen (particularly an opener would be handy)

Will have to monitor your second team stats closely Cricketman, it'd be nice to get a 20-year-old young gun such as yourself into the lineup.

By the way, an excellent idea, mind if I make a thread using the same idea?
Go for it, I'll take it as a compliment.

btw looking at the team I have noticed that there is one spare spot because I only picked 10, being the genius I am.

Add Ramesh Balaji onto that list in your mind, just picture the picture of the ball next to his name. Sorry for the inconvenience, lucky that you have such great imaginative minds.

Sluggish Start for the Giraffes

The team started slowly, with openers Elliott and Langerrox not too keen on getting out. Eventually Langerrox decided to lift the runrate with two consecutive fours through the covers, but unfortunately fell in the next over to a ball from Davies which hit the stumps due to Langerrox standing well away from the stumps. 33-year-old veteran Martin then strode to the crease, looking to keep the start steady and do a similar job to what the openers were trying to do. He did this very well, lasting until the end of the session. It was in the dying overs of the session that Elliott decided to get the runrate going again, which he did very well until falling on the last ball of the session, edging one to slips.

The PlanetCricket Giraffes are currently at 2/76, acceptable but they could've hoped for a better start.

Shot of the Day: Elliott played well across the line and against the angle of the left arm bowler to manage to hit this ball for four.
Ball of the Day: Davies showed great composure when bowling the ball that dismissed Langerrox, who was looking dangerous.
