There is no facts in the world you could tell me which would prove that Sachin should be higher in the list so you've bascially shot yourself in the foot there.
I think you misunderstood my post

:hpraiseYou know after reading from this thread, I reaffirm to myself why I do not just post in threads for posting sake. I understand the list, and respect what it represents. Ok maybe the heading/title did not pave the way for the details that followed of how the list was put together, but then again, if persons read with maturity and understanding they would not go crazy about the list.
Just look at the list, Sangakkara, Hayden, Kallis, Hussey, are all ranked above the likes of Gavaskar, Lara, Tendulkar, persons that follows cricket and the history of the games knows that on a listing of "Test Batsmen" in the history of cricket, that would not happen.
The list is fine with me and am not going to cry foul, because of where Lara falls on the list, simply because am a West Indian.
:hpraise
The eulogies for the belligerent opener include a ranking among the ICC top ten Test batsmen and many comments similar to Ponting's statement, "Look through the history books of the game and try and see if there has ever been a better opening batsman."
For those who think that they were smart enough to read the list the correct way, just read what Ian Chappell wrote in an article about Hayden :
Here's the link to the article.
Congratulations then, to all who were smarter than Mr. Chappell.
care to explain wtf that is.
Does he state his reference to that list?Sorry? Ian Chappell's just mentioned it, 1 sentence, he's not gone on to prove or disprove the ICC Ranking system. He's not agreeing with any of your points, just purely stating that Hayden's been named in the Top 10 of that list. Not exactly sure how that puts him on a level of intelligence on par with you guys.

Whatever it means (i know) it's justified reply to your post
man i cant stop laughing good reply Precamb :laugh
Then you've missed it completely Ben. The article eulogizes Hayden's various achievements, and references that list to point out that the ICC has voted him to be the 10th best Test batsman of all time. Obviously Chappell takes the list as such. So much is clear from that isn't it?
