Also this is the problem with cricket as a sport. Which country in other sport would fail to qualify for the world cup after winning so many tournaments and series before it? I am not saying I do not blame Afghanistan for this performance as they have to really step up their game and people are now pouncing on them that they are home bullies but test playing nations should directly qualify no matter what.

I said all Test Playing nations should be participating automatically, I am not saying Zims should not and Afghanistan should. Even Ireland and West Indies should directly qualify.

That would make 11 teams, get the remaining 3-5 teams from WC qualifiers such as this. The remaining 3 to 5 teams could be any one and would give more teams exposure.

Exactly what is the difference between Champions Trophy and WC when both have 10 teams each. Either get rid of one even to have some meaning or add teams. Hopefully after the 2019 WC the ICC comes to its sense and increases team numbers in WC atleast.

I like the 2011/15 WC Format it was fantastic 2003 was good too This Format is just Bullshit

I like this 10 team WC. All this frenzy about making it a 16 team WC is hilarious. In 2015 when there were one sided games against associate teams there was outrage as well.

It's the pinnacle of limited overs in our sport. Only the best should compete.
