India again saved by Kohli and Yuvraj. Against an opposition with a more competent captain and team management, they'll have a much harder time.

Sensible batting by the pair. I hope Kohli reaches his fifty which he missed in Asia Cup against the same team due to wrong decision by umpire.

Some minutes ago Public were happy but now again there is normal silence as Yuvraj gone away

Dammit Afridi, bring some fielders in the circle. India will be happy to do it with singles. Maybe he's already given up.

Well played Virat Kohli you genius. Yuvraj singh time and again you proved why you are awesome. Dhoni thank you for that six. Unbeaten WC record continues against Pakistan :D

There we go, another match that we lost because of selection blunders. The worst thing is, nobody even knows who selects the team. The coach blames the selection committee, the selection committee blames the management. Not even an ounce of respect for the fans. Afridi, if you're more loved in India than Pakistan, then stay there, please. The whole nation's begging you. And not to forget about Wahab Riaz. I thought he was a good bowler, who could adapt to the situation, but he still thinks he's in Adelaide, bowling to Shane Watson. I recently had an argument with someone who said that he was a one-hit wonder. I guess he was right. All the balls he bowled today were short of a lenght, pacy deliveries(apart from Yuvi's wicket). No clue about how the pitch was playing. Aamir, who didn't play for 5 years, knows more than him about how to bowl on this sorta pitch. And Sharjeel Khan, with that tummy of his, comes in and wants to hit everything for six, irrespective of the match situation. And selfie boy and Virat Kohli-wannabe Ahmad Shahzad confirms once again that he's nothing more than a minnow basher. By the way, why didn't Hafeez come in at three? Was he shitting his pants seeing the Indian team or what? Maybe he wants to set a new record for most roles covered in a team. First opener, then all-rounder who opens, then no.3 batsman, then finisher at 7.
Pakistan cricket structure needs a massive overhaul, i've been saying it since ages. It's always the same people who're incharge. Take example from England. Look how far they've come in white-ball cricket since the World Cup debacle. But the old men at the PCB just care about filling their pockets.[DOUBLEPOST=1458410750][/DOUBLEPOST]BTW, why is the word "minnows" censored?

Kohli, you're just a gun!!! He is super ice-cool in situations like this. And I am saying this again - Yuvraj Singh deserves as much credit for sticking out there, stabilizing innings and bringing India back in the game. Yuvraj did the same in the Asia Cup but was ridiculed for the slow knock even though that knock was more than enough for the pitch they played. Today again, he and Kohli brought India back and Kohli-Dhoni finished it off.

But all said and done, Dhoni's captaincy was very predictable and highly ignorant of the conditions today. He was saved the day by Kohli and Yuvraj. The pitch was turning big and yet he under bowled Ashwin and over bowled Pandya. He should have sneaked in an over from Yuvraj. Dhoni seemed as if he was following a pre-written script. Anyways, for moment its time to rejoice for Indian fans. We are still in the tournament, but we need to be wary of Bangladesh and not let our guard down.

Their frontline bowlers - Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny are suspended. So, no worries. :)

Teams will find ways out of it. And remember this is T20. We do not want to make the same mistake we did before our tournament opener against NZ (i.e. being complacent).

And well replied by Dhoni to that Twitter question - take it a game at a time. And get your thinking hat on please, Mahi!

Edit - Those who watched the game - how many had their hearts in that mouth when Kohli top edged that six to deep fine leg? I obviously had mine. Wish Yuvi had played out that last ball from Wahab. We already had 10 runs in that over till that ball. If Yuvi had stayed, we could have finished even early.

It's just frustrating that we lost due to schoolboy errors (and also because of the pitch turning square and Kohli's batting). We just don't know how to perform in pressure situations.[DOUBLEPOST=1458412380][/DOUBLEPOST]Afridi should a sensible thing and stay in India after we crash out in the group stage, because if he comes back, i'll be waiting for him at the airport.

Hope Bangalore and Mohali are not rank turners (for our next two games against Bangladesh and Australia respectively). From IPL history, Bangalore is typically a batting feast (even 200+ totals are not considered safe to defend in this ground) but we do not know what'll be in store for this time. Mohali is historically known to be a true batting pitch with some pace and carry.

Nagpur and Kolkata played true to history (both are known to be slow 'n low turners). Hope Bangalore and Mohali also play true to history because we need better batting pitches to get the excitement going. We meet Bangladesh next in Bangalore (Kohli's IPL home). With him in this form, hoping for Diwali in Bangalore on 23rd. :D

Good win for the boys. Bowling was decent even though it was a bit surprising not to see Ashwin bowl his 4 overs. Once again, very poor batting by the top order. Rohit gifted his wicket and Dhawan and Raina just couldn't make an impact. Once again, we had to rely on Kohli to guide us home. However, I was impressed with how Yuvraj played. He stayed there with Kohli and provided him the much needed support.

I don't know how many times I have said this but I still feel Rahane can do a better job at opening than Dhawan. Yes, Dhawan is an impact player but that impact is made only when he will score runs. He has been backed by captain and management but he needs to perform. Raina is another one who is seriously out of form. The way he played today reminded me of his struggle against South Africa in the home series last year.

Another amazing inning from Virat.

Back from a massive atmosphere at the Gardens. It was always a dream for me to see an Indo-Pak WC clash live and I feel like a dream has been fulfilled. Few things I want to say-

1) The crowds are so badly treated at stadiums that it's appalling. Our sport is absolutely beautiful but the people who make it so are treated like crap. A lot of you must have accepted the 2 overs docked but while I wasn't on the ground it seemed to me that a daft felicitation ceremony was the reason for it. From where I sat, once the covers came off, the super shoppers had done their job and the ball boy said it's bone dry. Anyway, I can weep about it as much as I want, broadcasting and fan care isn't something that's going to revolutionise for the average India fan.

2) Both captains today were absolutely POOR. I have no idea why Bumrah was bowling when it was CLEAR that Ashwin troubled the Pakistanis the most. How does your most potent weapon bowl 3 overs for 12 and not finish off? I also don't know how Raina didn't bowl more and Yuvraj didn't even get an over? It was unbelievable. Pandya shouldn't have been bowling when he was.

Shahid Afridi? I mean for what was he keeping Aamir back? He didn't even bowl his 4!! I know Sami picked two wickets in an over but the only guy that has the 'something special' that Kohli has is Aamir. I have no idea why he was bowling when he was. No idea why Shoaib Malik was bowling. No idea why Imad Wasim didn't play.

3) For all those that get a chance, watch India play live. It is a SHEER JOY seeing them field. I would dare say that the two fast bowlers aside we're the best fielding team by far. Ravindra Jadeja is a FREAK!

Wow, must have been amazing at the garden.

I agree with most of this and yes, Afridi was terrible as captain and Dhoni was as average as always. For so long Dhoni has managed to coast by on a good batting side and Kohli's exceptional ability. He isn't tactically astute enough to warrant mention with some of the best captains this game has to offer.

Just one last point...New Zealand, SA, England and Australia are all better fielding sides but I reckon India has over taken SL hast he best Asian fielding side.

Just my 2 pence :p
