Wow, must have been amazing at the garden.

I agree with most of this and yes, Afridi was terrible as captain and Dhoni was as average as always. For so long Dhoni has managed to coast by on a good batting side and Kohli's exceptional ability. He isn't tactically astute enough to warrant mention with some of the best captains this game has to offer.

Just one last point...New Zealand, SA, England and Australia are all better fielding sides but I reckon India has over taken SL hast he best Asian fielding side.

Just my 2 pence :p

I would probably have been with you if I'd not seen them live. I've seen teams field live before as well. The sheer athleticism of the Indians is on another level.

A very sensible and insightful post, until your penultimate sentence, when I nearly choked with laughter. I know there are a few guys like Pandya and Bumrah who are relatively new to the set up, but I've seen India play on several occasions in England, and their fielding doesn't even compare to what I've seen from South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Sri Lanka.

I understand what you are saying but this side is not the India of old. Just like the Indian batting is often overrated, our fielding is very underrated. I can almost guarantee at the moment that Ravindra Jadeja is the best fielder in the world and I've seen de Villiers field forever at the Chinnaswamy, Eden and Wankhede and he's often the benchmark. Also, Raina, Kohli, Sharma, Rahane, Pandya etc. are not far behind. I rate Jadeja higher simply because of his rocket arm. There was a moment in the game when Rohit Sharma was at short cover and on TV I'm sure it seemed like a good piece of fielding and that's it (the ball just fell short of him, where he was diving one handed). I can't tell you how fast that travelled and how quick he was.

Been critical of Dhoni's leadership, but he is like flash lightning with the gloves. TV does not do justice to his reaction time. I saw the highlights on TV and obviously on the ground it's hard to deduce the amount it was turning. On that pitch, with that much turn and bounce, his glove work was amazing.

In fact, Bumrah is slow and the less said about Ashish Nehra's fielding the better.

I just wanted to post exclusively about Pakistan once-

What is it with Pakistan? Their media and ex cricketers are a joke. Akram aside, they absolutely tear their teams apart after a loss. I think people in Pakistan need to accept that their batting simply lacks the talent and temperament that a lot of other countries have at the moment. It's a phase every team goes through. What will certainly not help is the way after every game their cricketers are butchered and feasted upon. Instead, some support would help. I hear murmurs about Afridi being sacked. I mean, who will take over? Yes, his captaincy was not top notch, infact his use of Amir was novice but how will a new captain help? He will also lose some games and I don't see why he won't be treated like the goose the media and ex cricketers feast upon either?

Let's not kid ourselves. Afridi is unpredictable. I've never felt he's a captain, he might be a leader if the country allows him. The former, i.e tactical astuteness comes with time, but the latter is a god gifted thing. The problem is that whoever Pakistan choose cannot grow because of the reasons I've mentioned. Their tactics are so evidently MEDIA DRIVEN.

Even fans here need to stop, breathe and support their side. I don't think Pakistan's batting and India's bowling has been much different over the years. It's just that of all the things our board and media is guilty of, it's not as extreme and volatile as Pakistan's. The cricket world will always be poorer without Pakistan, India-Pakistan cannot be complete without Pakistan but it seems to me that India respects Pakistan more than Pakistan themselves.

every world cup has a upset match, but this world t20 still not proceeded any of those... hope today Bangladesh do there best to beat Aussie...

would it really be an upset? BD have conditions to their advantage and they have done really well in these conditions over the past year or so

No Taskin and Tamim are a bit of an issue though

Why is Tamim not playing? I hope he isn't dropped just because he couldn't score in a couple of matches.

Feel for Bangladesh here. They have their 2 bowlers banned by ICC mid tournament and now Tamim is ill so he doesn't play. It's very tough to come back from a situation like this. I can understand ICC's approach to ban the players with illegal action but they need to do it either before or after the tournament. It just breaks the morale of the team if their players are banned mid way through the tournament.

Shakib has to take responsibility and come good here if BD are to make a challenging total (150+) - 90 in the last 9 overs required for that

PS: not sure why Mahmudullah has been held back

Some quite ludicrous captaincy from Steve Smith.[DOUBLEPOST=1458574907][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'd say the opener was a remarkable upset. I don't think many people gave NZ a chance.

Looks like it will be an easy win for Aus

Just don't think Bangladesh have regrouped since they have received that news on their 2 bowlers. Yeh Mahmudullah gave them a decent total but looking from their body language, it looks like they have already given up. Definitely not something that I have observed in Bangladesh for a long time.

I'm very happy. Their fans have had it coming for a while. I hope India and NZ hand them a grade A spanking.

AB is definitely the world's best fielder. Have you seen Chris Jordan or Ben Stokes field? That's proper fielding.

Go home! You're drunk. I'm sure you haven't seen Jadeja/Rahane/Any Indian field. And you'll only take names of Englishmen as you're one.
