We don't care about that now, we're watching Afghanistan beat up England

Rashid Khan is a very talented leg spinner, but he seems to have this habit of bowling a couple of very short balls that would normally get you hit: although because Ben Stokes is apparently stupid he got a wicket with one

I'd hope that another game like this would change something, but it was past Associate success that led to all the major competitions being ten teams or less

Aah Afghanistan have just let it slip here. First while bowling especially when England were 85 for 7 and now in the batting with 4 down and not enough runs scored. Nabi and Shenwari will have to be the guys if they are to win from here. It is going to be very difficult though.

Such a slow start - is the pitch slow?

not even going at 6 an over

And the wicket doesn't look that bad. BD have bowled very well

India sucks!

I have been saying this for a long time now and it seems we are getting ready to throw away this match. Yuvraj looks f**cking pathetic here. I'm so disappointed by our performance here.
God! it would be such a disaster if we dont manage to beat Bangladesh here.

attack fizzling out like an open bottle of pepsi

The only teams that so far have played well enough to deserve to win the cup are New Zealand and West Indies.

Again, you guys are being too harsh and I don't know why. Are any of you actually watching the match? Did you guys see the bowling and field set by Bangladesh? It's like they knew exactly where the Indian batsmen wanted to hit the ball. Each of their bowlers executed their plans to perfection. I don't think batsmen batted too badly, it's just that Bangladesh came up with some really good plans and executed it perfectly.

Indian bowlers and fielders needs to be really sharp if they want to win this match.

Let's not jump the gun till we see the second innings. Indian fielding is far better than Bangladesh and Dhoni as captain is way more experienced than Mashrafe.

Last game between Sri Lanka and WI, SL scored 122 and WI chased it in 18.2 overs. SL scored way too low. India have comparatively scored 24 more runs and that can make the difference between a win and a loss. Also they are defending it against Bangladesh, who with due respect, are not "West Indies". Lets see how it goes.

Nope. Cricinfo

there were atleast 3-4 instances were cricinfo published "it was a perfect ball to be put away and all they could do was get 1/2 runs"

although now they are saying its a slowish pitch and thats why BD's spinners did well. Lets see

Watching it.

Agreed the bowling is in the right zone, but the Indians have to pull up their socks. It's not a Test match that we were playing. If India can't score against Banlgadesh on their home gorunds, we certainly dont deserve any trophy here.

Bangladesh is still dangerous, They have played a match here and scored 156 versus a far better team. They'd certainly be backing themselves here. India's bowling can go for a toss here-we buckle easily under pressure.

whether we win or loose, it does show there are a lot of areas our batting is weak, especially dhawan is practically useless in this format either in real or in potential [he is a decent odi bat, he has never in his life played any breath taking t20 innings to accoutn for his chances, just get uthappa/rahane/vijay in ]

we need a finisher who can do more than madly swing down the ground, someone who can play cheeky shots, MSD can hit only when its in the slot, we need someone who can play cheeky and get some scoops in to partner that.
raina needs to find his form, pandey was a good replacement but given raina's earlier contributions he needs to be backed in this format.
