Idea on a mega patch for c2k5(pl read all as it needs your attention)

Update:

The Download size for MegaPatch would be somewhere around 70 mb(depending upon which patches are included in the MegaPatch.

For slow users the the 70 mb file will be available in sections of 7/10mb each.

N.B: The installation of MegaPatch is fully automated and uninstallable, except for a couple of files which the user has t transfer manually

Here's an overview of MegaPatch

PLANETCRICKET MEGAPATCH v1 for Cricket 2005

Minimum Requirements::

1) .Net runtime files, prior installation

2) JVM, prior installation

3) VB sp6, prior installation

INSTALLATION::

1) After copying the rar files(parts for slow users and the full file for Faster users) extract them to a
separate folder.

2) From the first folder(MegaPatch_inst1) double click on the exe file to install MegaPatch.

3) From the second folder(MegaPatch_inst2) double click on Setup.exe to install Graphcs selector and
also double click on all other exe's present.

4) Then unrar/unzip the archived file present and copy all the folders inside the extracted archive to the
folder where u have installed the Graphics selector.

5) Install Graphics selector to a drive where C2k resides, EX- x:\Graselector

6) Copy TV Overlay folders to the folder where graphics selector is installed

7) Copy the folder "temp_ds" to the main cricket 2005 folder.

AI PATCH:: Tutsi's AI PATCH ver 2.0 (No extra installation required)
Sid's Fields (Use field editor to select fields from C2k5 folder)

TV Patch:: ESPN Original by das_vicky (Copy the Graphis folder from MegaPatch_inst2 folder to the folder where Graphics selector is installed Ex- x:\Graselector)

I have already uploaded the megaPatch but cant make the link public as yet because I need to finalize things with sid, before officially releasing it.

TheMegaPatch comes in 10 sections (9x8mb + 1x1mb)

das,pl use my xml fields and not the ones which require importing via field editor as it is easier to just copy the .xml files in the main directory.

I agree with Sid on that one, it's much easier that way since there are so many fields to do it manually in that fashion.

thnx a lot & best of luck to the mega patch team. Hope u bring in new inovations in the future with things like new stadiums (indian stadium is just calcutta!), new teams(how about planetcricket team), new face packs( the faces of asian teams are horrific!!), etc.
If u need any help plz post it here andall the planetcricket members wold put thier heart and soul to help u all out.

hey cricket lovers,,
well i just read about the mega patch for c2k5...no offence to any of the patch makers and all those who spent hours together to make this game better..the point is that this game is hopeless and thoroughly ****ed.. stupid AI..crappy fielding...total negligence for gameplay makes me wonder if EA needs to stop releasing this title cuz they are losing their reputation as a top game brand and wasting the money of those ppl who expect quality when they spend 1000 bucks...and most important they make cricket look a thoroughly stupid and funny game...well for those who are wondering y i am posting this is cuz i m totally pissed about tossing 1 grand down the drain....
