India - We lose to lose in finals ?

I agree with bharat and jk16_4, but mock funerals is not the answer. They should be warned that if anyone fails continously for 2-3 matches, he will loose his place in the team, be it Sachin or yuvraj or kumble or anyone.

Sometimes, i feel that they r getting so much money, that they r not focussing much on cricket.

BCCI can implement a rule saying -- if India looses a match, the players also loose their 50% of their match fee. or something similar so that they can play seriously. or BCCI should give more prize money for winning the tournament.

AS jk16_4 said, Indian team management is the worst i felt, they lack planning and the fighting spirit.They simply cant get the right team to play. too many blunders. :

India lacks so much team work .... ITS all one man....its like if yuvraj makes 100 right his 100 will be useless because the team needs to support that 100....And the dont....EVEN if tendulkar came back what difference would i make....ITS the team effort...Tendulkar can only score when someone on the other team in fact the full team supports him...if they were just consistent i bet we would win finals....has anyone seen the movie COACH CARTER....Thats what the indian team needs...for who havent seen it...ITs a really good movie...well anyways the basketball team only won 4 games and lost 22 in there season....and there was no team work...all pure inconsistency...and then a coach came made them work DAY AND NIGHT...to be a team and thats what india needs....TEAM WORK

the series would have been good had the indians been in form.sadly it was not to be and am not taking any credit away form the aussies.

And i would'nt be surprised if the test series against zimbabawe don't go in our favour.
I am obvious;y counting on india to lose a one dayer against zim .And the odi's would be won by new zealand.

I don't think thats possible.

when the ICC tried doing it the players backed out of the game.
maybe thats what we need.
This happened during ICC Sri Lanka 2002
and World Cup South Africa 2003.

I think India needs some comfortable victories right now to get back in their groove. And the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe might just provide that! One thing I saw during our display in the Indian Oil Cup is that our team has made some changes to the respective departments but the results were not as visible as it ought to be! Dravid was inexperienced as a captain to handle those situations where Sri Lanka were 95-6 and in the final were India were 202-2 or something! In the final, India were looking to coast through the remaining overs when they should have kept concentrating. Somewhere they slackened and Sri Lanka bounced back! India should avoid that! They need the three senior players - Dravid, Sachin and Saurav to keep egging the youngsters and other players about the ultimate goal of winning! These three should take care of that on the field.

I would always want ganguly to lead because its now just 2 more years (or even less?) to the World Cup. If it had been 3 years more, I would have said try Dravid for the long term. Now Ganguly is more experienced in captaincy and can handle better. Dravid if he keeps losing can be low on confidence on the lead up to the WC and that can be disaster!

We need a dose of comprehensive victories to get back on our toes! I feel one crushing win or two to three convincing wins might do the trick! Will Zimbabwe help us get back? I think so!

Whatever it is, I have my faith in Ganguly than on dravid. I never say that Dravid is a poor captain. In fact, i was appreciating him on many occasions during the Lankan series for his attacking instincts. But Ganguly receives maximum support from me due to his aggression, his backing of young players, etc. And success has to be given a chance again and Ganguly has had success before!

I think if india wins the tri-nation series in zim , it will benefit india much . and will make india confident agian , All india need is 1 or 2 good wins then the whole team is back of form agian , well.......at least india are appearing in major and big tounrment finals , But most of the time india just game away in the last 15 overs and panick , most of india final losses has been india batting second.

well assuming the third team in those tournaments are the likes of West Indies and Zimbabwe, you would assume the Indians will make it to the finals. And yet they are struggling to do that even.
