What I think you were doing is taking the Net RR from one game then next game just adding or subtracting the Net RR from the previous game, then continuing. It is best to keep a for and against column. Here's how it works;
Australia play 3 matches and score..
For:
5/270 off 50 overs
7/225 off 45.1 overs
10/240 off 40.4 overs - Because they are bowled out before reaching 50 overs their overs faced automatically goes up to 50.0.
Therefore their for is 735/145.1 - Because it is .1 remember that it is 1/6, not 1/10 so we go 735 / 145.166 (100 divided by 6 = 1.66666666666667, I just use the first 3 digits), if it is 145.5, then it becomes 735 / 145.833 (100/6 x 5 = 83.3333333333').
For = 5.06316......
Now against..
Against:
9/250 off 50 overs
8/224 off 50 overs
6/300 off 50 overs
So their against is 774/150 = 5.16
Now, for - against = 5.063 - 5.16 = -0.097
You try this one:
