Anybody like to see the contract system?
I am open for suggestion on how to improve it and the team size will be definitely increased at the moment it is a reflection of squad limit we had as we didn't had the luxury of Cricket Heroes and Digisims, Thanks to @kurtkz .

What exactly do you mean by you will negotiate?

My Suggestion.

Go for secret bidding.. Lets say am bidding for Dhoni, and no one else bids on him then he belongs to me. If another team bids on him too, then the highest bidder gets him. You juts have to set a time limit for each round. Start with International first and then go to other state players.

negotiate
It would be more of a combination of draft and auction.
In local player draft you get the players on the basic contract you offer.
But in other state players you have to send a contract to your interested player if two or more teams send contract to a same player mostly the higher contract value will sign him but if in real life if had played for one of the two teams he will show more interest towards them with still a small amount.

Start with International first and then go to other state players.
The Overseas will be last as I believe that they should be additions to bolster your team rather than you picking them first and making your squad around them.

I am open to suggestions to improve it.
Some Suggestions I have are.
At the moment 4 local players can be grabbed in the first round so to make it interesting we can make only three player confirm pick while the remaining one will be open to contracts in other state round but they will give preference to local team, likewise for the next local round.
Example
Delhi - Gambhir,Kohli, Dhawan and Nehra
Their 3 confirmed picks will be Gambhir, Kohli and Dhawan. Nehra will be available for other players to send their bids.

We may divide the other player round in two stages showing the managers how the manager has reacted your contract and to improve them.

When signups are open, reserve Mumbai please.

@Jack Ryder I've changed this thread prefix to on hold for you. My apology for trying to get it moving forward ahead of schedule. @Pinch hitter , the idea was not to push Jack's league ahead of yours nor to cause conflict. At least both of you can see that there is enough interest for this particular concept. I'm confident both of your leagues will be a great hit, best wishes to you both :cheers

My apology for trying to get it moving forward ahead of schedule
What? What is there to apologize.
You showed me man that my league will be amazing with the level of interest people have shown here with me just providing them bare bones.
If you want help, I can :D.

only if
Can you stalk Cricinfo profile of players from a player list and categorize them.

I can do that with Cricket Captain if that helps?
You don't need to categorize them in batsmen, Bowler or all-rounder the player list provided will already be categorized about it. You need to categorize them by their birth place which I don't think is available on Cricket Captain.
