Bengal Tigers have appointed Brendon McCullum skipper for the Indian Premier League (IPL)....
The conclusion was publicized at a media conference here, where Owner Andrin Issac also verified it.
"We have appointed Brendon, who is very glad about it. He has the support of Ganguly, Hogg & Watson as senior members..."
Wicketkeeper-batsman McCullum expressed his exhilaration about the appointment and said the Tigers were well placed to push for magnificence this season.
"I'm massively proud to have been named Bengal Tigers skipper," said the New Zealander. "It's a tremendous honor.
"We've got some excellent players in our line-up and I will be looking to use the skills and expertise of Sourav Ganguly, Watson and Narine during the tournament.
"We've trained firm and put big expectations on ourselves and we hope to bring and push the boundaries towards the end of the tournament, and an expectantly be in the semi-finals and final."

Nicely done. Bowlers, especially the local bowlers were bang on target there. Mukund and Kallis did a good job to steady the ship for Hulks after the early jolt and Mahi did the rest with the settled Jacques. That said, Broad's effort needs a mention. Less than 30 runs in 10 overs against that sort of line-up is a fantastic performance. Hope he doesn't repeat it again against us. 
Feels good that the first man to score a century and the first man to score half century belong to our team. Our team will certainly boost when other OS players join us.
