Cochin Crusaders batting first on Flat track set the tone early in the innings. Dwayne Bravo and Shane Watson had a fantastic partnership between them and carried Crusaders to a good total. Shahid Afridi came in the end and provided an excellent finishing touch to well-crafted innings.
Kanpur Kiwis had a mammoth task of chasing 208 runs. In very first over,Gul sent Dhawan and Dravid back in the pavillion. But,that proved to be a blessing-in-disguise for Kanpur Kiwis. Manhas came in and along with Ryder never looked back. Both put on an excellent show and there was a race between both as who will reach the century first. In the end, Manhas got his hundred and Ryder was on 97 runs. It was an excellent chase as Kiwis won the game comprehensively.
Mithun Manhas for his brilliant batting was named the Man of the match.
